In the book, speaking through a fictional Harvard university scholar, he buttressed the fact that sex was a divine act through which men encountered God through the sacred feminine. That the Holy of Holies in the temple built by king Solomon not only housed God, but also his female equal known as Shekinah. He told millions of his readers that men would visit the temple and the priestesses would help them to encounter God through physical contact

I still don’t understand why he feels so strongly about me when it feels like Dante has completely ruined me for other men. “Christian,” I start, “What exactly is it about me that attracts you? Clearly, I still have a lot of personal issues I am dealing with, and yet you still stand by me. I don't like him.” He informed me and I kept staring at him for three long seconds. “ I'm not going to plant him in your room anyway.” I rolled my eyes before turning back to Shawn and was about to take the poster off the wall when he spoke up again in hurry.

“You’ve tried everything. The rumors. The press. Even stirring up lies to discredit Adrian. It didn’t work. They’re stronger now than they’ve ever been.” Christian’s jaw twitched. He didn’t look up. He simply stared at the stack of documents on his desk, eyes unfocused, mind a thousand miles away. “She’s not what I want,” Christian muttered finally. His voice was flat, lacking the tremble of a man scorned. “Not anymore.” John narrowed his eyes slightly. “Then what is this all about?” Christian’s lips pressed into a thin line. Then, slowly, he looked up, and in his eyes was no trace of sorrow. Only pride. And something dangerously close to vengeance.

She raised me as she stood, an attempt to leave the conversation but she looked back. “They’re both going to hell?” I added and she sighed. “Honey, i’m afraid yes. You know-” She sat back, but this time opposite, picking up a book. The one i see in church. “You see this, this is the bible. You always see that in church with everyone and the priest and you even have yourself” She said. “This bible basically tells how we christians are meant to live. Basically tells us the good and the bad and how bad the bad really is. And that, on the tv is really bad. Really bad” She remarked and i suddenly remembered the quote of grandma.
