'it wasn't. Eleanor sat down and pulled out the book she'd gotten from Gabby. What better way to divert her racing mind? She flipped pages randomly till she came across a page, which wasn't a page. It was cut into, with a smaller book hidden within that took up the rest of the page space underneath. She carefully pulled it out. It was an old brown leather cover with brownish pages. A pretty old book. She gently set down Bigfoot and opened the book, instantly getting sucked in.

He muttered under his breath, running a hand through his hair and tugging on it violently. I was worried. I hadn't said anything wrong. "You're a witch," the man muttered, turning his back to face me. He walked into the room with the table and poured himself some wine. Had he gone mad? I watched in horror as he ripped open his shirt and flung the pieces away. He gulped down the wine and walked across the room to a shelf facing the long table. When he turned sideways to reach for a book on the shelf, I saw it. It was only a brief moment, but I would recognize that tattoo anywhere.

What was he doing there? He gestured to the empty spot beside him. I sat down as he tapped the bed lightly. "This is for you," he said, handing me a book with a worn leather cover. I accepted the book with the worn leather cover. There was no title on the outside, but when I opened it, I saw that it was Tales from the North Land. "You're lending this to me?" I asked. "It's yours," he replied, standing up. "Now you'll stop spending time on your cell phone reading nonsense. Books are better for you."

I said as she gave me a look, then she nodded her head. “Okay boss, whatever you like. Fifteen minutes.” “Thank you.” I said as I closed the door. Lydia wasn't in my office anymore and I didn’t waste a second. I grabbed my phone. My fingers moved faster than my thoughts, I went straight to the reading app and I saw Inked Heart heart The book loaded instantly, like it had been waiting for me. “The One I Was Never Meant to Love.” My chest tightened again. “Why does that title sound worse today?” I muttered.
