Dragon Love

Dragon Love

It was easy to see why Tristan liked her. She watched as Chloe made her way to the barn that housed her livestock. “Be prepared. There are sheep in there that are the size of your cows.” Chloe entered the barn and came racing back out only seconds later. “Forget the sheep! There are killer ducks and chickens in there!” Martha scowled. “Did you try to take their eggs?” Embarrassed, Chloe nodded. Martha placed her hands on her hips and cocked her head. “Just how familiar are you with farming?”

My Sweet Surrender (Aftermath Series #1)

My Sweet Surrender (Aftermath Series #1)

The town is safe since not many people live here. Holding the chicken food in one hand, I searched for the chicks. My eyes stretched the vast land beyond the fence. Georgebury has always been like this. Quiet and peaceful. The calming sounds of the woods and silent north wind became my soul comfort as I grew up. After getting caught up in my own small world, I realized that the chickens were not here, I walked to the front yard. There, I heard the chickens' noise and I smiled. My tiny hands put the food on the ground and I contentedly watched the animals. Euphoria filled my heart as the chicks happily strutted to where the food was scattered.

I absolutely loved this book and love this series in general. I have bought all of them and gladly re-read them while waiting for the next release. Harris's story is able to bring something new to the series while still incorporating the many different characters, which not all authors can do.

Tempest in Paradise

Tempest in Paradise

Ericka is eating boiled bananas and sipping hot black coffee when she notices the constant chirping of the chicks. Way too cute, little broods. Given that your mother hen enjoys perching on the mango tree limbs, you appear to be absent! “ As she gathered the chirping brood that was dispersed across the yard, Ericka said,. “Observe these orphans, Mama.” She added, pointing to the shocked little, tiny chicks, "Now that it's dark and they are already blind during this dark hour, we may begin to place them in protective baskets."

The Misfit Inn

She still had a long way to go, but she already looked like a different animal. Out in the west pasture, he released the chickens from their mobile coops. They spilled out, cackling and dancing with freedom before settling in to peck up bugs and grass and clover. Cleaning beneath the roosts, checking nesting boxes, and refilling water was rote for him. As was moving their mobile coops about a hundred feet so they'd have a new patch of grass and clover to roam and fertilize.

The Last Thunder

The Last Thunder

Once in the air, he immediately scanned the area and noticed oversized chickens flocking around the village’s west outskirts. While on the ground, Jai was also introduced to the one of those chickens jumping straight at him. It was as big as an adult cow, thick, had a weird bubble like head and big orange beak. The chicken tried to peck at him, but he had held the chicken by the throat and immediately kicked, sending it flying backwards. As he fought the weirdly looking chicken, Darrion noticed from above that there were two children running from three of those chickens and there was a group of chicken that seemed to crowd over something in the plains. Since he only saw two while the previou

The Cuckoo's Egg

The Cuckoo's Egg

"Winnie's too afraid to give birth because of the pain, so make sure Nina gives birth to Winnie's and my baby after I leave, no matter how you do it!" He didn't want Winnie to endure even the slightest bit of pain, yet was willing to use my body as a tool to carry their baby. Thinking back to how that b*stard son of mine was cackling while he pushed me down the stairs, I reached to touch my stomach. 'Since you don’t know how to be a proper human being, then don't be born, alright?'

Demon's Evolution

Demon's Evolution

"I see, young master!" I could only laugh. I felt like a magician performing magic tricks for small children. "This is only the beginning, there is no need to be surprised. You'll all get used to it in no time." "Chirp, Chirp......." Ange could only stare at the nearly fifty chicks that had already begun to run around quickly; he could even see some of them attempting to climb the fence and almost reaching a third of the fence. "This…" "I should have told you all, I guess. These are not like regular chicks, they are stronger, more nutritious, and have more mana within their bodies."

Dearest Princess

Dearest Princess

Clifford tried to calm her, saying, "Mom, please, calm down. I'll talk to Larissa. After all, she's representing the Ashfords at the training right now. We shouldn't sever ties completely." … The next day, Clifford went to see Larissa. Larissa was cool, busily reading with Vincent. "Mommy, what does 'cuckoo in the nest' mean?" Vincent asked innocently, pointing at the book. Larissa explained, "Cuckoos like to lay eggs in magpie's nests. Once the cuckoo chicks hatch, they compete for resources and end up pushing the magpie chicks out of the nest to die. "The magpie mother doesn't realize her chicks are dead and naively feeds the cuckoo chicks, raising them with difficulty. When the cuckoo chi
