Books Like Feathers So Vicious Novels & Stories

Why would my mate accept something so broken? My arms begin to itch slightly as I felt the urge to add to my cuts. Anything to quiet these thoughts. But instead, I forced my claws back and shoved the ID into my pocket. It wouldn't be smart to leave the scent of my blood here. Taking a breath, I turned my attention back to the actual envelope and relieved it of its contents bit by bit. The first thing I pulled out was the rule book. The pages turned as I speed read without really paying attention. Random things stood out like the different shifter species that usually attended, the mandatory basic battle training, and the like. I reached the back of the book and was met with a two-page spread

The book just won't budge. In my haste to pry open the book, I cut my index finger with the thick hardcover. I wince in pain but smile widely when I see the book glowing. So it can only be unsealed with blood huh? To my surprise, the feather start typing on its own. In bold letters, it types: "Not just any blood but that of a pure soul." So this is how it's going to be. I ask and Mr Feather here responds? Impressive! "So tell me Feather dear, I know I am dreaming but why am I in Seraphim's realm?"

After saying her prayers, she left the window side and tried reading some books to shift her mind off everything going on at that moment. She opened the drawer of the bedside table, and took out a book titled 'The Ascendants Of The White Phoenix.' It was a book about the creation of the white phoenix pack and the past Alphas who had ruled the pack. Vanessa was so invested in the book that it made her eyes glued to the pages of the book for hours.

Distractedly, I left the book I wanted to pull behind and walked towards the table. Lily’s light scent of flowers hung in the air, and instinctively I just knew that was where she had been researching the day before. Curiously, I looked at the books on the table. One of them looked older than the rest. It’s pages were already yellowed and a corner looked burned off. With a frown, I held the thick back of the book and closed it to see the cover. FAE: The primals in human skin. Goosebumps rose along my arms and I shivered as I read the title.

"As it fades, I see the truth - in plain sight, yet hidden all along. We are children of blood and bone. All instruments of vengeance and virtue." - Tomi Adeyemi, Children of Blood and Bone * * * * Yuri frowned as she stared at the dark building in front of her which looked like the sort of building used as a prison. The paint was slowly peeling off the walls of the building, and it looked to be right out of some ghost movie.

“Vampires? And this… this is not from the Feather clan nor the Wingsman clan.” She traced the pad of her fingers on the feathers. The feathers were slightly unique. It was pointy and rough around the edge. It was somewhat larger than either clan. The Feather clan consisted of numerous bird feathers and the Wingsman clan’s feathers were limited only to their wings. There were striking differences between the Feather clan's and the Wingsman clan’s feathers. The differences were also prominent.

He said as he tightened his forearm around my neck which made me grit my teeth. I felt my stamina rise as I elbowed him on his chest, which made him stagger back and his hand freed around my neck. I quickly ran to him and kicked him straight in the face. "Quick reaction." Raven smirked as he wiped the blood on his lips with his thumb. He stabilized his balance and sprinted towards me as he kicked me next, but I blocked his kick with my feet as I grabbed his forearms and pulled it as I twisted it. My forearms were around his neck now which made me smirk cockily.

Sophia entered the small bathroom and Faelon stood in the narrow hallway waiting for her to exit. "I am going to search for the spirit so don't mind me…or help me…at all," Atlas grunted in frustration as he headed toward the kitchen and started looking in the cupboards and utility closet. Faelon glanced toward the small kitchen table and saw his wing feather inside a crystal vase. He grinned slightly and pulled a few more out of his wing and placed them alongside the single one. They appeared within it as black as pitch. Atlas was watching and shaking his head and plucked out the feathers Faelon had placed in the vase making them evaporate into nothingness.

I looked at it and froze. No, I think I looked at it, died, and came back a statue. My heart that was beating rapidly before just stopped altogether. I couldn't breathe anymore. My lungs quit their job and stopped functioning. Then we made eye contact. No. Then I believe I blacked out. The last thing I remember seeing were those haunting gray-blue orbs ... ************** Thanks everyone for reading so far... Here is the end of book one on THE VICIOUS ALPHA..
