I have been seated for over five hours in the damn library with nothing to eat or drink as I read the old books and papers with a smell that makes me want to puke. My eyes have not dared to close on me as I read the thirtieth book. I have not found any useful information that can locate the blood moonstone and finish this once and for all.

She sauntered around and when she find a guard, she asked for where Feathers was and then she was lead inside a room. "Congratulatulations, you finally shifted," Feathers said as soon as she walked in. Celine blushed and said," but it was very painful." "It's painful only because you are shifting for the first time. The second time wouldn't be this painful," he said and gestured for her to sit. "How about the ancient manual, have you get it?" Feathers brought out a book under the pillow and said," yeah, here is it." "Can I check it?"

He did. The wind coiled around him as he spread his arms. Golden feathers — Travian’s feathers — erupted behind him in a halo of light, translucent and alive. His own aura flared violet, a mortal hue that pulsed with defiance. The two lights twisted together, gold and violet, divine and human, forming wings that rippled with stormlight. The keepers attacked.

I was just about to collapse onto the bed and wake up the next day when the door slammed open with a bang. The noise startled me, and I whipped my head around to see four tall figures filling the doorway, they were talking so loudly and laughing like wild animals without a single care on the planet. My heart sank to my stomach as the realization smacked me like a boulder. It was them. The Vicious Boys. Fuck no! The platinum haired one spoke first, his icy blue pretty eyes scanning the room with a lazy arrogance. His gaze landed on Sienna and me, and he arched a brow.

Zephyr was ecstatic, and hoped to see more Earth-shattering action. The Feather Forest was a dark and empty place, often smelled of blood and rot, a terrible place to be in. A rustling sound forced its way through the Forest, a silhouette akin to faded lightning barreled through the trees, true energy encompassed the figure, and decimated the trees before him. “You little runt, show yourself!” the man called out, voice full of anger. He had nothing but bloodlust within him and thought nothing good. He was the other hunter that was pursuing Zephyr.

Instead, I found chaos. My books were rearranged. Not tossed or scattered—but reorganized. Aligned in a strange pattern across the shelf—old to new, clockwise, like someone had mapped something I didn’t understand. My notes on elemental convergence—torn from their binder and re-pinned to the wall in a spiral. My lamp turned upside down on the desk. And on my pillow… A single, jet-black feather. No bird could’ve gotten into my room. I stared at it like it might come alive and speak.

It won't stop, I'm going to die. It is possessed by the hunt and promise of food, and it refuses to retreat. I continue to kick and thrash, and to pull at my rope. It pulls back so hard on my foot that my ass leaves the ground a few inches. It's like tug of war. It's going to tear my foot off. It isn't leaving without something. I kick it with everything in me, into it's nose and it releases it's hold long enough for me to free my foot. My blood coats it's guns, and it readies itself to strike again. It studies me, teeth barred as it looks for the most efficient spot to deliver it's next blow. I duck my chin on instinct as I it takes flight. It lands across my torso, mouth nipping my shoulde

With a single claw, he traced the delicate pulse on my neck, and I sucked in a breath as he pushed his claw harder, hurting me, drawing blood. For some reason, I wanted to cry. I wanted to run from him, and yet I wanted to run to him, to bury myself in his embrace, to acknowledge the power he had over me, and yet trust him not to use it against me. I heard a pathetic whimper escape my lips as tears blurred my vision. Did he plan to kill me out here under the full moon? To make me bleed to death as vengeance for all the people killed by my kind?

Without exchanging any word he sat upon the edge of the bed for a minute before walking towards the bathroom sparing her no glance. Rose stared at the closed door of the bathroom before palming her aching stomach and closing her eyes. More tears escaped her eyes as she gripped her stomach. But that wasn’t the only part hurting. Her heart wasn’t hurting instead. It was bleeding. And she knew one day it will bleed to death. ________________________________________ So here is the chapter.
