Booktok He Leaned Against The Doorframe Romane & Geschichten

ADALINE As I approached the grand door of my father's study, the heavy wood seemed to groan in protest against my touch. "Ahh, your highness," a grunt echoed from the other side, causing the two guards stationed there to exchange awkward glances. Their discomfort mirrored my own, amplified by the knowledge of what awaited me beyond those doors.

Lenas Pov The sound of the heavy oak door clicking shut felt like the final period at the end of a very long, very painful sentence. I leaned my back against the wood, my breath coming in broken hitches. I didn't lock it, Adrian would never force his way in but I turned the deadbolt anyway. I needed a barrier. I needed something solid between me and the man who had just admitted, through a deafening silence, that his lips had touched the woman who was trying to destroy us.

Leo had locked the door from the outside and after he had left, I locked it from the inside and laid down on the bed with a book I had found in his nightstand. When I heard him try to unlock it, I looked up and smiled to myself complacently. "Ella, open the door," He said. "No thanks," I answered. He bumped his fist on the wood hard. "You know that I could break it down, right?" "But then you won't have a door." I had the upper hand this time. "If I have to, I will and when I get in there, I won't exactly be fucking delighted," He replied. "You aren't scaring me," I sung looking back down at the book which was about 12th century France and was oddly fascinating.

It is recommended that you slowly back away from the scene while lugging a loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter, and a bunch of bananas. "Ok." He chuckles. "Would You Perhaps Require Some Assistance?" He asks. "Nope. I'm good." I express myself too hastily. When I was almost there, I accidently brushed up against the door frame. At that point, I was almost there. When I swiftly enter the room and slam the door behind me, I grin and giggle a little bit to myself as I do so. I let out a sigh as I wait for the door to open and lean against the door as I do so.

She was far from home and she was in unknown territory. Finding what he was looking for, he tilted the book with the title on its spine, To Kill A Mockingbird. A resounding click was heard, and the bookshelves parted into two like the Red Sea to reveal the titanium door with a security pad on the side. Phil punched in the codes in haste, and before you know it, they were inside the secret room.

LAZARUS Lazarus wasn't as friendly due to the action he took. This I suppose. I was wondering why he would have taken his steps behind to let me face my detriment alone. The momentum which I had used initially in opening the door had reduced as I was ready to hear the next word squeal. The hinges of the door screeched and finally opened. Thomas' face was a bit weary and deeply focused on the book which he placed right in front of him as he had crossed his legs comfortably in his reading position.

He commanded, gripped me and pushed me to the door post. I slammed my face against the wall. Thank goodness my palm was there to support me. I got my balance back, and didn't bother to look at him but faced the door which was now open, held the frame and speedily walked outside, stood by the door, waiting for him to come out and lead the way as they usually do.

"You're welcome." "You're dismissed." He didn't need to tell me twice. I turned on my heel and headed straight for the door. I could almost count how many steps it would take for me to walk through that door. Four more steps. Three steps. Two. On- "Wait." Dang it. I heard a click. "Before you step out, there's a book on the top right corner of the shelf-" click, click, type, type "-beside you. There is a red bookmark resting on-" click "-its spine. It isn't hard to spot."

The driver closed the door as he stepped out. I returned back to my bed and placed the magazine on the table. Approaching near the dressing table I combed my hair to look least presentable. after I left I was a total mess. I swirled towards the door and took few steps when Aslan opened the door wide. He stood on the door frame and gazed at me. His hands now resting on either side of the frame as he leaned down a bit. His hair messy and his face had a rugged look. His eyes intensely staring at my body for few seconds.

Serena I closed the door and leaned against it, the book heavy in my hands, and my body shook from exhaustion and fear. The house was too quiet, as if the walls themselves knew what I carried, and I pressed the book to my chest, thinking of Ari, of the way he had cried when I touched him, of Kael’s eyes that had turned cold and unreadable.
