I am bored. Like, pull-my-hair-out, scream-into-a-pillow bored. Being unemployed is definitely not for me, especially stuck in this apartment 24/7. I’m going absolutely stir-crazy. I hate watching TV unless it's p**n, and I only browse online to keep up with recipes or food trends. When I'm not working, I’m surfing, hiking, biking, or playing tennis. I thrive on social interaction, cooking, and being outdoors. This situation is torture—I literally have nothing to do.

Brenda sat on the couch in her massive, empty mansion, feeling the weight of boredom pressing down on her. She had just finished talking to her best friend Carla and her kid sister Ralia, both of whom had offered words of support and comfort. Their voices still echoed in her ears, and their heartfelt reassurances lingered in her heart. Their conversations had eased her troubled mind, but now, left alone in the vast house, Brenda didn’t know what to do with herself. He had just unknowingly spoilt my mood. "I am just an insurance policy for him," I said and took a sip of my drink. "So, what have you been doing for fun here?" He asked me. "Nothing, watch television, go on runs, swim in the lake and sleep," I said with a bored tone. "You must be very bored," he said to me, and I nodded. "Do you like fighting?" he asked, and I didn't know how to answer his question. "It depends," I said, opting for the safest answer.

After I eat the worst breakfast I've ever eaten in my entire life, I find myself in the most lost, bored state of my life. This is not a condition I'm familiar with. I don't get bored. I have never, as an adult, had nothing to do—there is always something requiring my attention. There is always a problem to solve or a decision to make or someone waiting on my response. But there is nothing to do here. Literally nothing. I've already had my two hours of allowed work. I've already made myself the worst breakfast to ever be made with human hands. And it's only ten in the morning.

Like I did everything these days. Gods, I was so. Fucking. Bored. And I missed Declan, like an itch under my skin. Bored. I was bored, and that was all. A group of retirees settled in at a blackjack table nearby, laughing and chattering. They weren’t bored. The dealers and the cocktail waitresses and the security staff and the pit bosses, they all had something to do. They were busy. They weren’t bored. But I had nothing in the world to do but wait to get fucked.

I jog on the spot for 20 minutes; that's the longest my legs could carry. Done in 20 minutes. Shower. Breakfast. Weltering reading books about science and surfing the internet. Then I went around the house, checking out Dad's auto parts and faulty items that looked fixable. Listening to music. More weltering. Zoning out of Morris' boring gist. Hide and cry. Sleep. Wake up. Cry some more. Talk to me. An excellent definition of a boring habitual life. I've got no friends, never kept any, and never saw a reason to have one.

Valentina's POV Netflixing for over two hours with a bowl of tasteless popcorn, I sigh deeply and take the phone and the cone of popcorn away. I am bored despite the movie. I have lost interest in almost everything and nothing seems to kill the boredom. Not even the popcorn. Maybe it's because it is tasteless. I am beginning to feel sick out of boredom. At first, I thought it was because I was in my room so I came over to Rocco's room so I could at least feel his presence but that only worked for a while because I am now dead bored.

Bonnie shook her head. "It's horrible. Why do people even drink that?" She asked, chuckling. "Because,you know, it's alcohol. Who can resist alcohol? Ummm, excuse me, there's a guy checking me out. I'll be back." Becca laughed as Bonnie heard her footsteps fade away. She sighed sadly, the familiar feeling of loneliness coming back. Her hands roamed across the bar, searching for her phone. When she finally found it, she placed it safely in her pocket.

As I lay on my bed thinking about what to do, I got a text from Tyler: Tyler: What are you doing? After reading the text, I sent an instant reply. Me: I'm not doing anything. Why? Tyler: I'm bored. Come over here. Me: What does you being bored got to do with me? Tyler: Because we can do something interesting together to occupy our time ;) I rolled my eyes at that message as I can imagine Tyler smirking as he sent it. Me: Do you always have to be a sex crazed manic? Tyler: Ha! I wasn't, but look where your mind went 😜
