Each volume of Strange short stories will have 3 medium-sized stories and about 10 short stories. To make it easier to understand and more transparent, this chapter will be like a summary for this and the following volumes. Vol.2: medium stories: The antics of Bia's crew ( ABC) Bia comments on a crew of children of criminals, in an invisible ship. In this world full of magic, demonic beasts and restrictions, they live on the run, abandoned by their parents. Not being accepted anywhere in the world they have to survive on small illegal jobs and from time to time to plunder.

“I wouldn’t know. My parents died when I was young, and I don’t remember my time before that, so I’ve moved from foster house to foster house.” “Oh.” An awkward silence hung in the air for what felt like forever. I was such a conversational killer, but in all honesty, I was exhausted. I didn’t have the physical and mental energy for anything right now. All I wanted to do was lock myself away, hide in a blanket fort and never come out again.

She's not really that bright, huh? I fell asleep halfway the second episode. I guess it was interesting but it's really just not my thing. A corny love story about straight couples? Fuck me. That's the most boring shit ever!

I loved working here. We started, by playing games and then watching a movie followed by our lunch break. The last one was the storytelling. I was telling them a story about the little red riding hood, where the wolf falls in love with a girl and ends up dying. Although the ending was not for children, I had to do something about it.

It would kill me to loose such a friend and a brother . It was quite late when Johan left . The blurred up shadows of me walking floated on the ground. I dug into my pocket until I found my favourite gummy bears and I began chewing . This week has been quite exhausting and I can't seem to get over with it . I picked up my phone and scrolled through i*******m checking notification and viewing images untill my worst friend sleep called and took me with her.

We talked for hours as the night wore on. “You really thought about quitting because of burnout?” I asked, tracing a finger along his chest. “Yeah. Days blurred together. Then you started coming in regularly. Made me look forward to shifts again.” He smiled in the low light. “What about you? Why history?” “I like stories that last,” I said. “People who lived real lives hundreds of years ago. Makes my problems feel small.” We laughed softly. Then the touching started again. This time I climbed on top, riding him slow while we kept talking. He looked up at me like I was something special. His hands roamed my body, squeezing my breasts, guiding my hips.

His lips are still tilted in that wicked little smile. That night, Jabari and Amara refuse to close their eyes on the furs unless my voice tells them a bedtime tale. Even though I have spent five winters putting Zuberi and Tavon to sleep in our villa, I only know the basic old story about the three little forest pigs who built dens to hide from the big rogue wolf. The second I start whispering the words, I see the totally bored, blank stares on both of their little faces. They are way too smart for baby stories.

"Just your brother, Lo. Couldn't sleep so I thought to get some coffee." The lie made no sense. Why in the world would he want coffee from Lorena's room? In no time, Lorena groaned from the bed, and I heard her begin to stand up. Oh fuck no. I heard her footsteps get closer and closer until she was standing right behind me. "Kade?" She asked in confusion, rubbing the sleep from her eyes with her fingers. "It's barely 6am, what the hell?" "Couldn't find the sugar. Thought you kept some in here," he quickly added.

Don't overdo it. I don't know how I could possibly do any less physical activity. I've read three books this week. Scrolled through my phone until my eyes burned. Binged every mindless show N*****x has to offer until the characters' voices blur together into meaningless noise. The boredom is almost worse than the pain— it gives my mind too much space to wander into dangerous territory.
