I could see them slowing down in their attacks, but only a handful of rogues remained. I recognised one of the rogues as Brandon Junior, who had escaped prison. It wasn't surprising to see him, as no doubt, he wanted to gain control of his father's pack, but that wasn't happening. Neither was the option of returning to a prison he could escape. I moved closer to him. Without Brandon Junior knowing whose hand would be killing him, I slashed my razor-sharp claws across his throat. He fell to the ground, futilely clutching his throat. I watched him bleed out, the fear on his face as he realised his life force was draining from him.

More wolves emerged from the tree line, this was the biggest attack we had encountered in a while and it made me wonder if someone had sent them. The next thing I know I’m being pinned down by two rogues, both snapping at my face. My vision goes blank briefly as Brody takes over. He was a killer and this is what he was made to do. As I walk around the great room, it's obvious that certain packs in particular are missing- the Rogue packs. Instead of having different alphas for every pack, they are all run by a king who calls himself "King of the Rogues." I can't help but roll my eyes, anybody who chooses to go by that name probably has a bigger ego than Caleb. Most alphas would prefer him as a business partner rather than an enemy.

"About us being werewolves." "Why?" "He's getting close with Brandon," Brooke spoke up. "Brandon cannot be trusted. He might try and turn Raiden against us." "No, Raiden is a good guy," Tai said dismissively. "This Rogue guy is a murderer, he wouldn't stand for that." "Brandon is my cousin," Brooke said. "Rogue has done some awful things to me yet Brandon still stands with him." "What has he done?" Tai asked curiously. "That's none of your business," Harry snapped as Brooke shifted uncomfortably.
