You may be nice looking and all but..” I stopped when I noticed I had almost compared him to Tobi. ‘Com’on Em, pull yourself together’ I said to myself silently and I sighed in relief when I realized Jacob had no idea what I was just about to say. “Your words hurt me Mi amour” Jacob’s hand was now placed over his heart “Even more than this bruise” He added feigning hurt.

"You don't need my permission, kid. You never did." "I wasn't asking permission." "I know what you were asking." He turned back to the screen. "Whatever it is you're doing out there, don't let it break you the way it broke me. Don't let it be the thing you lose yourself in. Let it be the thing you find yourself in." Dani nodded. She sat with him until the tape ended, and then she rewound it and put it back on the shelf, and she kissed his forehead and left. Back at the shop that afternoon, she found a delivery waiting on the back bay bench. A brown box, no return address, no shipping label she recognized. Dani opened it.

"I hate you.. I should hate you.. I... Fuck! I hate you, I hate you Cedric Lopez!" He keeps mumbling those words in the middle of darkness, to at least calm himself. But the pain in his heart is still tearing him inside. The invisible knife keeps stabbing his heart. He feels so pathetic but what can he do? He loves Cedric so much when he was Ricky. He dedicated his whole life to him, just to be betrayed by him. Daveryl couldn't help himself but let his tears rolling down on his cheeks. Maybe that way, the pain will reduce somehow.

Vin. My heart feels empty. I feel so much weaker than I have ever felt before. I will never be Vincenzo again. I am nothing but broken. Oh! God. Just why? Why her? Why couldn't it be me? I tightly hold my head and throw the bottle of whiskey on the ground and watch it break in pieces. I have drowned myself in this shit but it isn't helping. It causes my head to hurt. I longingly stare at one shard that looks longer and sharper. It will only take me minutes at most, and I will never hurt again. That one minute will take me to the same place she is right now. Our promises don't count anymore.

And for a moment, I almost believed him. But no. I couldn’t. I couldn’t give in like this. I’d rather die than believe another man. I tugged my arm free, this time with enough force to break his grip. I glanced at him, the walls inside me were already crumbling. And for the first time, I felt... something. Something I can’t ignore. “Hell, No,” I whisper, shaking my head. “I’m not some charity case.” “Doesn’t matter.” Nathan’s voice hardens. “You’re not leaving.”

I throw myself at her. Finally, I break, a sob tearing its way from the depths of my tortured soul. I let the pain, the anger, the frustration and the hate I have been pushing down free. The dam breaks and the tears I have been holding back flows. I cry my heart out to the moon goddess. Cry at the shitty hand I have been death with. At the pain she has allowed into life. At the brokenness I was sure would never be fixed. At my damaged heart. By the time I'm done I feel empty.
