I didn’t know if it was my knuckles or his bones as his head snapped back.
I swallowed, glaring at the side of his face and the widened eyes filled with uncertainty as if not wanting to believe his actions had consequences.

I saw the blood, thick and dark, and swallowed my gasp. If he were to get me for that, I wouldn’t be leaving here intact. Tristan was every inch strength, and I had just broken his nose.
