The bridegroom wasn't a simple guy from our countryside like my sister preferred, she always wanted a simple life where she would be managing the household and looking after kids while her husband earned their livelihood. However, this was not the case, her husband-to-be was a lord, our small village fell under his estate. He was the great Vampire Lord, child of the night, a nocturnal being. The wedding would also be held at night instead of the morning like it usually happened. Even the wedding gown wasn't white.

Rydstrom was still astonished at how quickly the small female before him was accepting this new lifestyle. Any normal person would have laughed or act out after finding out about the existence of dragons. Then again, she wasn't so normal. But whatever it was that caused his bride to be so brave, he hoped it all goes well. He even sent a silent prayer that nothing comes between them. He already cared for her and would lay his life down on the line for her. The two walked hand in hand to the first area, which was the meeting room.

A shadow of doubt danced over his face. "She was here, a moment ago," the shaman said. They waited. The door, behind them, opened. The bride was the first to enter, followed by her maids. "Praise is Volun, the arch-god!" the shaman face was concealed behind his mask. "Praise is the goddess of love and marriage, Veretena!" the other shaman said nearly at the same time as the arch-shaman.

Out of the crowd, she stepped forward. Clarissa. My sister. Wearing my dress. "Liam," I breathed. "What are you doing?" He didn’t answer me. He extended his hand, to her. “Clarissa, love, come here.” And just like a rehearsed pageantry, she strode down the red carpet, a smile carved on her lips as she walked towards him, confident, calm and cruel.
