BLADE 3. Pain. It was all I felt when I shot my eyes opened. I felt so sore and tired. The memories of how Lorenzo plunged deeper into me last night filled my mind. He was so cruel to me. I didn't find any enjoyment in it at all. I tried lifting my hands and I was happy It was back to functioning. My tit hurts too as a result of the sucking he did last night.

He jumped up and slammed his hands against the pummel to drive the sword deeper. Bastion yelped aloud and stumbled backwards. Bloodchild turned to face him. Bastion fell to his knees. Alpha couldn’t stand to see such an honorable Bitten taken down by this coward. “Surely if his armor is enchanted so is that sword.” He rushed Bastion and yanked the sword out and in one fell swoop he thrust the sword deeply into Bloodchild’s chest.

They disappeared before weapons could reach them. Golden soldiers fought desperately. The First Blade was the only weapon that could injure them. Another Voidborn disappeared. They moved together perfectly. No words were needed but there were too many.

The charm Jayde had given me swung back and forth around the sow’s neck, glinting faintly under the moonlight, making the entire scene even more grotesque. I clamped a hand over my mouth to keep from screaming. And then, my phone suddenly lit up. I glanced down. It was a message from @HollowBranch. "Don’t trust her. Before I could move, Alan captured him and drove a blade into his side. The rogue screamed. Alan yanked the blade free and looked over at me with blood already on his face. “I’ve got this side.” “Good,” I snapped. “Because I’m busy.” His mouth twitched despite everything. Then movement at the far end of the clearing caught my eye. At first I thought it was another one of Mara’s people. Then I saw the hair. Brittany. She had a blade in one hand and blood splattered across the side of her dress.

The air itself felt heavy around her, like it carried hidden power ready to break free. The villagers gasped and pointed. “Look! Look at her eyes!” someone shouted. I followed their gaze. Brie’s eyes were glowing, bright and fierce, like pure light trapped inside. I felt a shiver run down my spine. The first guard reached her, raising his spear high. I almost stepped forward, but before I could, a shockwave of light burst out from Brie. The guard flew back several feet, landing hard on the ground with his spear clattering away. The crowd screamed louder. Mothers pulled their children closer. The rest of the guards hesitated for a moment, fear flashing across their faces, but they didn’t stop

She couldn’t see herself handing it over to them. “You bastards,” Blaire muttered, pained. She started taking steps toward Borel, but he removed the knife from my neck and stabbed my arm. I felt the pain instantly, and my guttural yell was enough to lock Blaire in place. “Do we have a deal?” Borel asked, taking the knife back to my neck. Blaire knew she couldn’t afford to act carelessly any longer. There was no hint of hesitation in Borel’s eyes.

A flicker of displeasure crossed Sheila’s face, disappearing so quickly that it might have been my imagination. She smiled. “Of course. It will be a great chance to introduce some friends to my sister.” She looked me over. “Your clothes are not suitable. Why do you not borrow some of mine?” When I came downstairs wearing clothes that clearly did not fit me, Sheila’s smile grew brighter. “You look great.” Then she added, “It is just a little plain.” As she spoke, she fastened a bracelet around my wrist. “I knew this bracelet would look perfect on you.”

She gestured down to the blade and Brianna looked down at it in shock, like she hadn’t even noticed it was there. “You have to finish it now,” Harper said with a smile and Brianna nodded. She gripped the blade and pulled it out of her stomach. I watched as the place where it had been just closed up. The skin knitted back together like there hadn’t just been a weapon sticking from it. Then I saw as something passed over Brianna’s face and the angel blade glowed brightly. Harper smiled at her with pride etched all over her face. “You aren’t quite there yet, but welcome to the Divine Order.” she said. Brianna smiled at her and the girls hugged. Emmett was looking over my shoulder sadly and a voice caused me to jump. "Sorry to interrupt," Blade says loudly and I whip my head around. He was wearing the faintest hint of a smirk etched on his lips. "What do you want?" The words stumbled out of my mouth before I could stop them. "Sup Emmett, can I borrow her for a minute, thanks," he says holding me by the elbow and pulling me along with him before either Emmett and I could reply. I protested yet stumbled along behind him trying desperately not to trip. Blade led me to the outside of the house where a half-moon shuns in the dark sky.
