Kendra sat in the library with the book, The Hobbit, opened on her lap. When Rex had first shown the room that was lined with books to her, she’d been both intimidated and overwhelmed. She was taught to read by Olga, but the availability of reading material was limited. Therefore, her reading skills were wanting.

Kennedy POV. The weather was bad, but I needed to get that new book, it's Robert birthday gift, who'd knew a grown up man would kill for the newest werewolf love book. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?

It's hard to focus without her, but I lead Axar into the small library with me as I begin to search. Having been alive for so long I've acquired many books and ancient pieces of literature. Some are in immaculate shape, others are torn segments and several pages, barely tethered together by bits of spine. Many of these are family heirlooms as well, handwritten and handed down to future generations for guidance. Some are my own notes and contacts, roughly scribed here and there and then stuffed back onto shelves. I find several books on banshees and a couple on cambions. I find some on death as well, and I stack it into my arms with the rest the pile. "Take this one too." Axar softly suggest

I didn't want to go all out with the decorations, but I couldn't help myself. I heard the door ring as soon as I lit the last candle. I quickly rushed towards the door, undone my braids, played with them through my fingers, and felt some damp areas. I opened the door, and I sucked in my breath. She was just about to look back down at her notebook when someone stopped beside her table. “Excuse me.” Amara glanced up. A man stood there holding a book in one hand and a coffee cup in the other. He looked about her age, maybe a little older, with curly brown hair and an easy, friendly expression. “Yes?” she said politely. He lifted the book slightly. “I hope you don’t mind me saying this, but I noticed you were reading the same author earlier.” Amara blinked. “Oh.” She looked down at the book beside her notebook. “You mean this?”

I have put my sim back in my phone but I don’t even need it again. I just abandoned it. Today, Asher didn’t lock the door. After taking my bath and doing my necessary chores, I retired to the compound with a novel. Born in death by Nora Roberts. I started reading it yesterday. I saw it in my things. I had bought it a long time ago but didn’t have them to read it. Am intrigued with the story already and couldn’t wait to read as everything unfolds. I was engrossed in the book I didn’t notice someone enter.
