He pulled his arm back and struck the wall again, and again, and again. Boom! Boom! Boom! The sound of solid stone fracturing echoed alongside the sickening, distinct pop of his own bones breaking. His knuckles split open completely. Thick, dark blood seeped out of his skin, gushing down his hand and splashing heavily onto the floor. Two of his finger bones fractured under the brutal impact, the sharp pain radiating up his arm, but he didn't care. He didn't even flinch. He just kept punching until the entire section of the reinforced stone wall collapsed inward, crumbling into a pile of gray dust and rubble.

"You've truly lost your mind," Holly whispered as she spun away from him. "How the hell would that even work? I can't be anything to anyone, and you, more than anyone else in my life, know exactly how fucked up I am in the head, Drei. I cut myself when I can't cope. *Boom* *Crack* “Umph,” the man bite down hard on his own lips, causing them to explode into a mess of blood and flesh. Although he was in excruciating pain, for Nola’s kick had broken the head of his right humerus, his scapula, and somehow a small section of his clavicle; yet, he dared not complain or voice out any discontent. For if he did, Nola would do much worse.

He begs, fist banging against the door. Do I really want to push the one person who keeps me safe away? Is this really what I want? To fight my demons alone? I walk to the door, a decision already made. Drawing in a huge amount of air, I unlock the door before opening it. My wrist protesting as I move my hand, I meet the eyes of the beautiful but broken badboy standing in my porch. Bruises surrounding his face, a split on his lips, knuckles bruised and bloody. "I'm so sorry." I sob as he crushes me into him. Sobs wracking through my body as he holds me. What a perfect fit we are, two broken souls trying to fix each other's shattered pieces.

Leaving the door open would mean that Penny could hear him the moment he woke and the vehicle the screaming was coming from was only a few metres away. She didn’t hesitate to follow Joey. She tried, and failed, to stop her face crum-pling and a sob emerging. "There’s something wrong with her arm. I think she’s broken it."

And my hands are bruising now on top of the splits, the knuckles swelling and screaming, and I don't care. I don't care if I break every bone in my hands on this door. I'll knock until the wood gives or my body does, whichever comes first. "Ember, please. Open the door."
