My fingers tightened around the cold water bottle I was holding for myself and the coffee for Kasit.
She noticed. Her eyes flicked to it, then back to my face.
“You’re glaring at me, right?” A cruel little smile curved on her lips. “Now let’s see who he really cares for.”
Before I could move, she snatched the coffee mug from my hand. With one sharp motion, she slammed it against the one already on the counter,deliberately letting both shatter on the tile floor.
The crash was loud. She gasped dramatically, clutching her hand like it was life-threatening. Blood welled from a small cut on her palm where a shard had nicked her.
