Chapter 7: One With The Herbs Botany Class, Timber Creek School Of Fine Arts, Wakefield, U.S.A... It hadn't taken Porter Fulton long to find the main building once more as he moved about the vast campus and toward the building lined from roof to yard by way of large winding vines both green and black in their collective appearance as they seemed to be wrapped around a massive greenhouse with numerous glass panels that made it quite easy for direct sunlight to enter the room and feed life into the hungry plants that dwelled within and outside of the classroom. Brooke paused, taking a deep breath. Her eyes were glazed and I knew from experience that she was not the one speaking. Sometimes, she did not even know what she was saying. Brooke is a prophecy wolf and as a result, anything she says will come to pass. We like to say she is the gift from the goddess to us.

It wasn't until I heard their voice that I looked to see who it was. “Next time, look at where you're going. This isn't the Umbra house, princess. No one is going to move away from you,” Brooke said, sauntering away from me. I clenched my hands by my side to stop myself from pulling her back by her hair. God. I hated her. I hated the fact that we were forced to share a room even more than I hated her. How the fuck was I going to survive in this academy with her breathing down my neck and the Professor ready to strike at any given moment?!

Nate's POV I walked back into the dense woods behind our family cabin, leaves crunching under my feet . Brooke right next to me , her hand brushing against mine every other step. It's our second day at this vacation, and tension has been building since we arrived. Our parents were back at the cabin with everyone else, I'm sure, making lunch, but Brooke said earlier she wanted to show me somewhere she found. those eyes were telling me otherwise . Chapter 11 The next afternoon, the rain finally stopped, leaving the campus grounds damp and smelling of wet grass. I used my short break between classes to walk over to the campus greenhouse. The greenhouse was a massive building made of iron and glass, hidden away near the edge of the dark woods. Inside, the air was warm, thick, and filled with the sweet scent of blooming magical flowers and rich soil. This was the place where my adoptive parents spent all their time, working hard to grow rare herbs for the academy's potion classes.

I’ve never been here before, but Brooke described it really well when she was in Summervale over the weekend. Things have been pretty crazy on that front lately- Brooke, one of my closest friends from high school, is my brother’s mate! I did not see that one coming, but I can’t say I’m disappointed. The two of them actually seem great together, and Brooke will be even more like a sister to me now. She’s promised that I’m going to love it up here at the complex, so I’m holding her to it…

Adrian inquired, a glimmer of hope flickering. "Didn't Ashleigh mention it?" Dr. Brooke replied. "Robin College prides itself on being an elite institution. They only hold examinations once a year. She could try next year, but that puts her at a disadvantage. The applicant pool will only grow, and frankly, her age might work against her as well. They typically accept students between 17 and 21." Dr. Brooke's words hung heavy in the air, leaving Adrian speechless. This new information only compounded the situation.

After Brooke relocated back to the Silverwood territories, she claimed a high-prestige den not far from the Bay Residence. It was an ancestral property her parents had left to her before they moved to the Eastern Packs. The Walker family had always looked at her as the future Luna of the West Coast. Grant pulled the armored transport in front of the stone villa and signaled Brooke’s slate. "I’m at the gates. Come out." "Grant... could you... could you come inside and carry me?" Her voice was a strained whimper over the comms. "The silver-ache in my abdomen is so sharp I can’t even shift."

It led to an old building, being reconstructed as a greenhouse. 'This school had a greenhouse,' examined Zack. The path was neatly made with Bamboo sticks lining on one side like a wall, and different floral arrangements on the other. He walked around the building for five minutes, but was not able to enter it. He continued with the path strolling around the building, finding a path leading into the woods. It was so calm and peaceful there, Zack decided to take a nap. He made his backpack as a makeshift pillow and immediately went to sleep.

Silence settles in the hallway again. Attention shifts back to Brooke. Standing closer now makes it easier to notice the details. She is pretty in a quiet sort of way. Nothing about her tries too hard to stand out, yet something about her still catches attention. Soft brown hair falls down her back all the way to her waist. Her eyes are a bright shade of green that almost seems too vivid for such a calm face. The dress she is wearing is a darker green that matches them well. Wedge sandals cover her feet. They probably will not be the best choice for walking through the Shadow Woods, but the distance is not far. She should manage well enough.
