Chapter 11 The next afternoon, the rain finally stopped, leaving the campus grounds damp and smelling of wet grass. I used my short break between classes to walk over to the campus greenhouse. The greenhouse was a massive building made of iron and glass, hidden away near the edge of the dark woods. Inside, the air was warm, thick, and filled with the sweet scent of blooming magical flowers and rich soil. This was the place where my adoptive parents spent all their time, working hard to grow rare herbs for the academy's potion classes.

I’ve never been here before, but Brooke described it really well when she was in Summervale over the weekend. Things have been pretty crazy on that front lately- Brooke, one of my closest friends from high school, is my brother’s mate! I did not see that one coming, but I can’t say I’m disappointed. The two of them actually seem great together, and Brooke will be even more like a sister to me now. She’s promised that I’m going to love it up here at the complex, so I’m holding her to it…

"At night it can be a little chilly." They walked on, laughing and teasing each other until they reached UP's garden. It was a large section of campus that was used by the biology students for their projects and generally enjoyed by the students for walks and, in warmer months, a nice study spot. There was a small greenhouse in the center with a few more exotic plants that stayed warm year-round. Without any need for discussion, they headed for the greenhouse. Adrian inquired, a glimmer of hope flickering. "Didn't Ashleigh mention it?" Dr. Brooke replied. "Robin College prides itself on being an elite institution. They only hold examinations once a year. She could try next year, but that puts her at a disadvantage. The applicant pool will only grow, and frankly, her age might work against her as well. They typically accept students between 17 and 21." Dr. Brooke's words hung heavy in the air, leaving Adrian speechless. This new information only compounded the situation.

Just by looking at them you could tell that they have a strong bond seeing as how concerned they are for one another – even though I don't see Ace being all that caring for his sibling except Nora. Finally, the path started to clear and the trees somehow looked thinner. We arrived at a dome-like greenhouse that was located just near the bark wall. We entered the greenhouse and I found myself staring at the trees and plants growing in it. There was a pathway made of stones lined together that leads to a rectangular solid in the middle of a pond. It was almost submerged in the pond with only an inch or so above the surface of the pond.

after this. Hestia, on the other hand, was enjoying a relaxing meditation inside the huge greenhouse of the academy. The greenhouse was composed of a house-like structure that mostly has flowers like lilacs, lily of the valley, sweet iris, bougainvilia and nasturtium to name a few of them. Connected to the house-like structure was a huge dome that houses trees inside. Oak tree, chestnut tree and Ostrya were most of them, but there are still more and some budding trees were planted in their own pots for the meantime, which were placed in the sides of the dome. In the middle of the dome was a mini pond that had water lilies in them and some little fishes that were wary of other people sitting

After Brooke relocated back to the Silverwood territories, she claimed a high-prestige den not far from the Bay Residence. It was an ancestral property her parents had left to her before they moved to the Eastern Packs. The Walker family had always looked at her as the future Luna of the West Coast. Grant pulled the armored transport in front of the stone villa and signaled Brooke’s slate. "I’m at the gates. Come out." "Grant... could you... could you come inside and carry me?" Her voice was a strained whimper over the comms. "The silver-ache in my abdomen is so sharp I can’t even shift."

Alexander. “Hey, have you seen Brooke?” I ask yet another man in the pack as I walk through the market, wondering where the girl was. Brooke had left the Forge in the evening to go and train in the Archery ranges, with the promise of returning to the Forge to carry out the rest of her shift duties before we could both get off to pursue the endeavor of discovering her wolf. But after she left, she never came back. I waited for her at the Forge, wondering if she’d forgotten about the time, which was strange because Brooke was very mindful about such things. And she never did her work halfway, she made sure to finish all her duties before she left the Forge.

~BROOKE~ Brooke was supposed to be heading to school, but as she left her room, she looked to the right and saw her nursery. It wasn't finished, but she had to agree with Sandino. It was pretty amazing. The babies’ room was painted pink, with red hearts and stars. He took the time to paint the crib red as well. They were getting ready to put furniture in, when everything blew up in her face, like Kahlan had said it would. Brooke sighed. God. She thought. I really did screw up.
