How did it get there? Rain stared down at the rose she had found by her bedside the second the woke up. The scent drifting in the air and causing her to smile. It reminded her of her time in the cabin and Rain didn’t realize how much she missed waking up to the comforting scent of roses until this one was brought to her. Rain silently wondered with a smile, would they still let her go back to the cabin or did Alexander plan to have her stay in the mansion permanently?

"You won't believe it! Each flower tastes like a different color!" Liam chuckled softly, his eyes filled with affection for the whimsical Rose. "Is that so, my love? Well, I'm eager to hear more." Rose plucked a vibrant purple blossom from a nearby side of the bouquet and held it delicately between her fingers. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and brought the petals to her lips. With a gentle nibble, she savored the taste of the flower. "Mmm," Rose hummed with delight. "This one tastes like sweet grape juice, like the color of royalty."

Or if she wanted him to show up. She hopped into her bathtub and soaked her skin in the lavender scent bubble bath. Small petals of red roses were scattered in the water to increase the pungency of the fragrance. Her nostrils were always addicted to fragrance and that was Rose's specialty. Her skin was being soothed like an oil massage and Rose had her head against the edge of the tub to soak her whole body even more into the tub.

“If I don’t answer, she’ll find the rest instead.” I stepped toward the doorway. The fog rippled like it could sense my resolve. Each step closer, the air grew colder, thicker, filled with whispers. Not words fragments of memory, cries from people I couldn’t name. It was as if the fog carried the voices of everyone it had touched. When I reached the edge, it halted again, swirling low around my feet but not crossing. The mark glowed brighter, a perfect half between silver and crimson. The two colors pulsed together in time with my heart, refusing to choose.

I'm very glad to have finally come to you. I was walking towards the pack house, when I smelled something so delicious, my mouth started watering. It smelled like freshly baked cupcakes. My favorite. As I started getting closer, May started talking to me. 'It's mate, but something is wrong. Find mate!' I rushed into the pack house and ran into Luna Samantha.

A drop of tear landed on the back of my hand. I ignored it and made a rose appear out of thin air just like a magician. "When we first started dating, you were nothing but a bouncer. The owner's enemies came looking for trouble. On Valentin's Day, you were severely injured and covered in blood. I was worried sick. I cried helplessly as I looked at your wounds. But what did you do? You pulled out a rose that you had been hiding, and it was covered in blood." Thomas chuckled as he took the rose from me.

“Sorry, I’m a bit out of it.” She shrugged, and opening the small door in the gate. She had no umbrella with her, I’m guessing she go out in a hurry. Who wouldn’t when their cousin was standing in front of her own home gate, and staring at her house like a psycho? “Don’t apologize. Let’s get you inside before you catch a cold.” I nod, following her through the door. The walkway is just like I remember, on each side are prize winning roses. Of different colors. Huh? When do black roses exist? I took a small detour from following Alexis, bending over a patch of those strange black roses.

The most beautiful smell of honey and peaches invading all of my senses. Gripping me in every way Mate! Mate! Get mate!
