My face, was very strikingly gorgeous, my father used to say I was more beautiful than the goddess herself but I bet he was just teasing me. But what truly caught Amber’s attention were my eyes. They were like two glittering suns, with a warm, golden light that seemed to come from within. They shone with a soft, glow that seemed to originate from their depths. Their shape was like a lotus flower, with delicate, petal like eyelids that seemed to unfurl like the gentle petals of a bloom. The irises were golden but seemed to shift from bright, shining yellow to deep, burnished copper, like the first blush of sunrise on a summer morning.

I heard lots of gasps, probably because most people here have never seen my eyes, they must be mesmerized. When my eyes went to my brother, he was very beautiful in a fancy navy blue and gold suit. It’s like he has… jaundice or something!” “Actually, when a person has jaundice, it’s the whites of their eyes that turn yellow, dear, not the irises,” Mystica explains to my maid, and I stifle a laugh because it seems clear to me that Poppy already knows that.
