I smell smoke and I know immediately that fire is being started somewhere. The other wolves start to lunge at the strays and Liam and I join them too. I jump on a stray who is smaller than me and I can tell she is female too. I'm expecting more of a fight, but no, with just a scratch, life slips away from her eyes. My eyes widen in utter disbelief.
