Even the elders, who had served Uncle Benard for years. "Luna Catherine," they murmured. "The chosen one." Uncle Benard tried to slink away, but a few warriors blocked him. "Traitor," someone hissed. Leo stood beside me, his hand on my fur. Through the bond, I felt his pride and his relief. "You're safe now," he murmured.

We growled and spun in his direction. ‘Maddy, faster! We have to get him before he reaches the field.’ ‘I know! I’m trying!,’ she said. The rabbit flew over the ground as Godric repeatedly pounced at it. He finally landed on it and when he went to bite it, it wiggled out of his paws to limp into the deer field. We heard the deer turn frantic and we dove at our son as they began to stampede in their attempt to flee from us. We pinned him to the ground and remained on top of him in an attempt to protect him from the deer’s hooves.

Confused, she laughed with them, which only seemed to make them laugh harder. “Thanks, Bambi.” Hayley patted her head. “Elara! And it’s okay! My mommy told me I need to help my friends.” For some reason, her friends laughed more. Most of the girls in her class were lycan-born — raised to see humans as fragile things meant to serve, but this was an intricacy in status Elara couldn't grasp at her age. "Oh hell no," Tara yelped as the toy rabbit hopped out of Violet's grip and landed on her keyboard. "Emma, your kid just hit peak adorable and terrifying simultaneously."

That is until a small, confident voice rang out, cutting through the laughter and jeers of the bullies. "Hey!! Let him go!" I looked up to see a boy my own age, standing up to the big boys and fearlessly defending me. "Look who's come to save the day; our very own knight in shining armor!" exclaimed Big Boy 1 as they approached. "Ha! You really think he can beat us and save this little runt?" sneered Big Boy 2. "He's not a runt, he's….. beautiful," protested the cute boy, bravely defending me.

They were about nine or 10 years old if I were not mistaken. I stopped and waved at them. Two girls and a boy. "Hello there, sweet bunnies," The two girls giggled. "We're wolves, though, but I haven't shifted." Said the girl with cute freckles on her face. I almost laughed at their faces. Witty kid. "but I like bunnies. Shane likes it too." She added, pointing to the girl with black hair who eagerly shook her head. "We have three bunnies at home; Toffee, Biscuit, and Marshmallow. They are so cute. Do you want to see them someday, Luna Anisha?" Shane asked.

Seeing your child is the most rewarding moment of a mother. All of the hardships she went through for how many months will quickly vanish as soon as she sees her healthy little baby.
