I felt cloud nine and free. Nelly enjoys her run giggling and playing with the little animals in the woods. When a clang caught our attention, "Can you hear that?" she asked as her wolf ears perked up, picking up the sounds of wings flapping. She headed toward the sound. We were both curious about where the sound was coming from. As she ran, she spotted a butterfly. No, not just any butterfly. The blue butterfly was glowing and shining so brightly. A mystical butterfly !! I knitted my brows at the sight of it. There are no butterflies on this side of the country or in this forest. How much more a supernatural one?

I blackout after a while, all I know is that everyone in the room was going to die for hurting my sister. When I came to, everyone was on the ground, dead or bleeding out. The knife fell out of my hand and fell to the floor. I looked at my hands, they were covered in blood. So was the whole room knives were in people's chest, and temples, throats were slashed. Above them, paper butterflies were pinned on little folded tabs, so they looked like they were flying. “My mommy helped me make the flowers and the sparkles.” Avery tapped the glitter with her fingertip proudly. “And my daddy helped me make the butterflies move.” She tugged a paper tab and one butterfly flapped its wings. A few parents chuckled and clapped.

So I put on my earphones and hit play on my iPod. But of course, the songs that came on only reminded me of her. Every lyric seemed to echo the feelings I couldn’t shake. "Butterfly" by Crazy Town played, and I was done for. Come my lady, come, come my lady, you're my butterfly, sugar baby...

The sound of that strange name drew my attention back to the group and what I saw next was nothing short of wondrous. Little Leah was still in Luna Malaya's arms with Sarah and Julian right next to them, looking at Freya in wonder. And then there was Freya, who had been the person to utter those strange butterflies. Her hand was raised towards the baby's face and suddenly, a bright blue smoke formed in her hands and as it rose, out came a beautiful blue butterfly, larger than any normal butterfly I had ever seen. A glittery dust came out of its wings that shore like diamonds in the light and it rose even higher, leaving behind a trail of glitter dust in its wave.

Rebecca stood in a garden filled with brightly colored flowers. Roses, lilies, and lavender lined up neatly, spreading a calming fragrance. A gentle breeze made the petals sway, while colorful butterflies fluttered freely above them. She closed her eyes for a moment, inhaling the soothing scent. “This place is so beautiful,” she murmured softly. When she opened her eyes, her gaze fell on a blue butterfly perched on the petal of a white rose. Rebecca smiled faintly, her fingers reaching out as if to touch the delicate wing.
