Iridian
I asked, trying not to fidget.
The Moon Goddess turned half-way, then gestured to the night sky. As she did so, a bolt of lightning crackled down the horizon. Within that light, I saw two horned figures collide. The moment they touched, an explosion of thunder sounded, making the ground we stood on tremble.
“Light is once again battling the Dark, keeping it at bay as it tries to swallow the world.” She explained, her voice patient and her eyes all-knowing.
I swallowed heavily, forcing the knot of worry down my throat where it remained lodged.
