I hadn't mastered any of the elements yet which was why I was a magi. You are promoted to mage only when you master an element and to grand magus when you master them all. There was a school for that, I vaguely remember from when my mother had told me.

As Nomar said this, he smiled at how his words seemed to jolt Alexander from his reverie. Alexander was startled. He raised his head up from the floor and looked around. This was no play. This person meant his words. He meant for him to rise up like a man. Suddenly, Alexander started to believe that magic still existed. Who else but a magician could speak this loud and clear in his mind that it would boom like this? It had to be magic. He raised his head up further and looked around for the person whose voice had sounded in his mind.

Magus’ magic dissipated before he turned to look at Dundeville, which was engulfed by raging flames in front of him. He ranted, “I got bored. This game is no longer fun for me, so I decided to wipe them all out.” After that, he noticed Max, who stood next to Tyr, which surprised him greatly. “Who’s this guy?” Max stepped forward and greeted Magus at once. “My name is Max Cheever. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Senior Magus.”

Their mana core had five stages: low, mid-low, middle, mid-high, and high. Those who were in the low were the beginner magicians while those who were in the mid-low stage were considered as rookies. Those who were in the middle were already acknowledged as intermediate magicians after they were registered in the bureau of magic. Those who reached mid-high were called advanced magicians while those who reached the highest stage were recognized as experts. “You can now register yourself as an intermediate magician,” Hailey said proudly. “I’m sure Her Highness would be so happy because you can now join her in her magic classes.”

“His name is Viex and he is one of my contracted spirits. He’s very fast and agile.” “Y-yes.” He nodded in agreement. “I-I can see that he is a magnificent creature.” “Mr. Wizard guy? I have a favor to ask you. You are a researcher, right? What do you think will happen when a magician, who dedicated his entire life to knowledge and magic, suddenly losses his ability?” I asked. Then, as expected, I saw the fear in his eyes. “Apparently, I can actually take their magic. But I sadly need a subject. Would you care to volunteer?” I smiled sweetly and gave Viex a nod.

“A man could well lose his part to her gentle touch!” “Then what have you planned?” Jaecar’s black brows lifted in interest. “I intend to play as unfairly as she.” “How’s that?” “A spell an old friend gave me.” “The mage Commander when he trained you.” “Nay.” Magus shook his head. “We rarely saw him. The one that truly trains is his Second in Command, Hawk. He was my mentor.” “And what spell did he give you?” Magus beamed. “One to melt a woman who’s toyed with you too long. One he wrote for a particular little mage that had been teasing him below the breeches.”

“If the only person that could have helped me with the ritual is no more, then what chance do I have to fix things?” This was another reason that Maggie was reluctant to help at first, if not for the promise she’d made herself earlier. Sighs, “you still have a chance. I know how to conduct the ritual.” He rose a brow at her, “you? When did you become a psychic?”
