He wasn't even talking to me like he used to, and it was tearing me apart more than I wanted to admit. Because death duels would soon start pouring in now that I had become the Alpha King. Alpha lifted his hood and revealed a white powdery face, it would scare the daylights out of anyone and Ash was no exception. “Tell me little one, have I done wrong by you?” Alpha said in his voice so calm but you could see the sinister in it. “Never Alpha,” Ash said, visibly shaking now. Alpha had left day-to-day tasks to beta and its subordinates. So nobody saw him much but they knew he was vicious and no one wanted him in their face. Poor Ash was thinking in his head why it had to be me.

He dropped the call, but it rang again. This time, he got annoyed. His mood was going down, and this was no good. His brows frowned and told the lady to stop for a while. A lady’s soft voice drew my attention before I could speak. “You must be Lyra,” she said,streching her hand, with a small smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “I’m Ashley, a childhood friend of the Alpha.” She was the same lady I saw multiple times at the boutiques. Why was she following me? She would have said something earlier, so why now? I’m not sure, but something felt off about her. “Ohh, it’s nice to meet you Ashley.” I smiled as I took in her stretched hand.

Raising my hand to scratch my shoulder, I cock my head and ask sarcastically, “You could have called. Why must you always show up like this? Uninvited.” “Well, because I am the Alpha. We don’t follow normal rules. We have our own we abide by, and it doesn’t involve humans’ niceties. If I need to fetch you, I will do it any time I want.” He states angrily as I watch his eyes start to glow again. Every time he becomes upset, his eyes do that, so I always know when I have gotten to him. “Alright, alright. Anyway, I need to get dressed. What is it exactly that couldn’t wait?” I ask absentmindedly as I shuffle around and try to find the pair of comfy jeans that I laid down a couple of days

Alex trailed his fingers across the Omega’s stomach as he moved away from their embrace. Ash chuck, but let him pass on his way back up the stairs. “Make it quick we are getting late,” Ash snapped at the Alpha’s back. Pausing, Alex shot him a glance. With a raised brow and a chuckle, he shook his head and kept walking. ' Everything will be fine, they just need some time' Alex said to himself. On the other hand Ash recieve a call. It wasn’t like he could read her mind and uncover everything anyway. “Alpha Dane. Luna Ashley.” They both turned at the familiar voice. “Alpha Nathan?” Ashley called, surprise clear in her tone. “What are you doing here? What about the contest for the Alpha King’s position?” Nathan stepped closer, a faint smile on his lips. “I know…it’s unexpected.”

Biannual meeting meant I would have to see Kane Weston . He was a fucking bore that balked at every fun thing I wanted to do and reported every mess I made .
