Love Affairs with my Stepbrothers

Love Affairs with my Stepbrothers

“No, it’s not. It’s messy and f*ck*d *p and wrong on paper. But it doesn’t feel wrong.” He stepped closer, slow and deliberate. “I think about you all the time,” he said. “About that first night. About how your lips trembled when I got too close. About how your eyes go soft when you try to act strong.” I swallowed hard. “We’re step-siblings.” “Not by blood.” “We live together.” “Then let’s stop pretending. Move out. I’ll get my own place if it helps.” “It’s not just about the logistics!” I snapped, pushing past the lump in my throat. “It’s about how screwed up this could get. About what our parents would say. About what this means.”

Wrong Train, Right Trouble

Wrong Train, Right Trouble

But is it wrong to be drawn to my stepbrother like this? – Gretchen, Manhattan Dear Gretchen, Although there’s no biological connection between the two of you, there is still a familial tie, and many people will consider a relationship between step-siblings inappropriate. The fact that you’re writing to ask suggests that a part of you already believes it’s not right—and that perhaps what you’re really seeking is permission to go against that inner voice. My advice is simple: honor your instincts. Stay true to your own values. Everything else will eventually sort itself out.

Forbidden: Falling For My Stepbrother

Forbidden: Falling For My Stepbrother

I countered. "Let's see" His right fingers slipped under my skirt and snaked their way over my wet underwear. "See? We are very much attracted to each other, little sister" he mocked. Why am I so helpless against him? I just want his fingers to move! "What do you say about a deal? We can just satisfy each other's urge whenever the need arises, no one has to know" His voice couldn't go any lower, his hot breath teasing my ear. That's a tempting offer, especially with how horny I was feeling at the moment. No one has to know, we are now known as step-siblings by our friends, so it won't be weird to see us together.

CRAVING THE WRONG MAN: DANGEROUS DESIRES BOOK 1

CRAVING THE WRONG MAN: DANGEROUS DESIRES BOOK 1

I needed to remember all the reasons why anything happening between us would be a complete disaster. My mom was marrying his dad in less than a week. In less than a week, we would officially be family. Step-siblings. And step-siblings didn't kiss each other. They didn't think about each other the way I was thinking about Alessio. They didn't feel their skin get hot and their heart race when they were in the same room.

My Ex-Boyfriend is my New Step-Brother

My Ex-Boyfriend is my New Step-Brother

"You’ve lived there for a day. You aren't family; you’re a houseguest with a mother who got lucky. Roman’s had a rough morning thanks to your little 'stunt' at the motel, and the last thing he needs is a step-sister bothering him with whatever drama you've cooked up to get attention." "This doesn't involve you, Sienna," I snapped, trying to sidestep her. My heart was thumping, not from the stalker this time, but from the sheer weight of being trapped in a house—and a school—where I had no allies. She moved with me, blocking my way again. "It involves me because he’s with me. And because Marcus specifically told the office that you two are to be kept on 'separate tracks' for everyone's safety

My Billionaire Ex-Husband Won’t Let Me Go

My Billionaire Ex-Husband Won’t Let Me Go

a young woman's voice huffed, “You saw how he introduced her, right? They looked so close. Something must be going on between them.” I froze. “That’s not something you should say carelessly,” the first man said after a pause, “They’re siblings.” “STEP-siblings, meaning not biological,” the woman said, lowering her voice, “And besides, haven’t you heard the rumors?” “What rumors?” The same question echoed in my mind.

Ruined by my Bully Stepbrother

Ruined by my Bully Stepbrother

"About how you two are going to handle living together. About what happens when you are sharing a bathroom and sleeping ten feet away from each other every single night." My stomach twisted. "No. We have not talked about it." "Dora, you need to. This is not going away. In one week you will be stepsiblings and if you do not have a plan this is going to explode in your face." "I know. I just do not know what to say. What is there to say? We cannot be together. End of story." "Is it though? Because from what I have seen neither of you can actually stay away from each other."

My Donor

My Donor

“She said he’s popular. What if your kid meets and falls in love with one of his other kids?” I frown. “That’s unlikely, right?” “I saw a British show about it—they slept together, then found out they were siblings,” Brin says. “Eek, that’s rare, though, right?” “I don’t know—it could happen. But hey, your parents are siblings, so maybe it’s a family thing,” Zara teases. “Our parents are stepsiblings—not blood-related.” “Yeah, but it’s still weird.” “They didn’t grow up together. There’s nothing weird about it.”

Lethal Games: Taming My Mafia Don Stepbrother

Lethal Games: Taming My Mafia Don Stepbrother

he said softly. A burning fist closed around my lungs, squeezing tight and making me breathless. "What?" I made a sound between a squeak and a wheez. He looked at me, waiting for the words to find its way home. This. Us. Spontaneous sex. "We're step-siblings." I reminded him. "We're not related by blood and I've only known you for two months." "People will ask questions." His jaw ticked, a hard gaze settling in his eyes. "Nobody questions me."

Dear Stepbrother

Dear Stepbrother

I made my point. "Well, let's try this, say this wedding isn't your mom's wedding or his dad's wedding. There's no stepbrother and stepsister and all that stuff. Will you go back and find him?" I had never thought of this before. What if we weren't stepbrother and stepsister? Would I give us a real chance? For the longest time, I didn't say anything, but probably the word 'yes' was written all over my face. "I see," Gabe said, reading my expression.

This book has been one of my favorite books from you author. The love story of Ry and K is amazing. I would still read them from time to time and not get bored of their story. I love your writing especially on a romantic love story. So many emotions, laughter and tears.

Frequently Asked Questions

Navigating romantic feelings between step-siblings is a minefield of emotional and ethical complexity. I've seen this dynamic explored in shows like 'The Brady Bunch' or more dramatically in 'Clueless,' where the tension is played for laughs or drama, but real life isn't so neatly scripted. The key issue is power imbalance—even if there's no blood relation, shared family structures can create pressure or awkwardness that makes consent murky. If both parties are genuinely on equal footing and the relationship develops organically, it might work, but transparency with the rest of the family is non-negotiable. Hiding it risks explosive fallout later.

What fascinates me is how pop culture handles this. Some stories romanticize the taboo (looking at you, 'Cruel Intentions'), while others treat it as a fleeting crush. In reality, I'd argue the biggest hurdle isn't morality but logistics—holiday dinners get real awkward if things go south. If the attraction persists, therapy or family mediation could help untangle feelings from familial duty. Ultimately, it's less about 'right or wrong' and more about whether the relationship can exist without collateral damage.
