In my past life, my memory had worsened after I'd lent Whitney my luck, and misfortune had followed me everywhere. Even though I still had some of my luck, half had gone to Whitney. That left me with only half. Indeed, my luck wasn't unlimited. Once it was gone, it was over. That was what the fortune-teller had told me, looking deadly serious. So I could only rely on hard work. It didn't bother me because I didn't regret lending my luck to Whitney before. She'd deserved it because she'd given me the warmth I desperately needed at that time. From that moment on, though, we would walk our separate paths.

Trailing off, I searched for the right word. I finally found it, but so did he, and somehow, we ended up saying it in unison. “Electric.” “Right,” I said, feeling like I’d just been zapped by something electric. Kaden laughed and took another sip of his water, which made the sudden awkwardness I felt disappear. “It feels like there’s possibility around every corner.” “It’s been a long time since I’ve thought of it that way,” he admitted, a wicked gleam entering his eyes. “Just be careful. A lot of those possibilities have diseases or will ghost you the second they pull out.”

He kisses the back of my hand and it brings electric shock to my nerves.

So, dear wife, you’re going to have to deal with how I do things.” Karen wrapped her arms around herself. “I’m alive by sheer luck,” she mumbled, more to herself. “Luck.” Sebastian stopped with the glass halfway to his lips. His eyes narrowed, then drifted down to his own left wrist, where the rolled-up sleeve of his shirt revealed the tattoo: 385900. “Fate,” he corrected, his voice strangely low. Karen looked at him, confused by the change in tone. But before she could ask, the words came out uncontrollably.

Cyril had reserved a special viewing seat just for me. "The odds are one out of six. Ms. Wade, take your time." Cyril rested one arm on the couch, speaking in a slow, unhurried tone. Regina glanced at the dice with obvious disdain, confidence written all over her face. "I waited the entire night just for this? Even if it's pure luck, I still have a one in six chance of getting it right! Mr. Mallet, you're staking all your assets this time. Think carefully before you decide!"

She gave me all the happiness in this world, she is my life saver. I noticed its a new number, only few people around me can reach me through this line, I tried to ignore the message because I know its a wrong number but it kept coming and I felt the need to reply because whoever it is, is clearly hurt. Chapter 1 Luck is known to be a fickle creature appearing and disappearing at a whim, though there are those so-called fortune's favorites who seem permanently in her favor while others seem just as equally misfortune's favorites cursed with bad luck. But perception is a tricky thing; what may at first appear to be misfortune may in fact be just the luck someone needs and what may appear to be a lucky step may in fact be bad luck in deed. But that is luck, chaos personified.
