“Seriously? Where?” I lean back against the bench again. “Dallas.” A whistle cuts through the room. “Walker’s team.” Nash Walker was born to wear the captain’s C. "Detective Moore, you might wanna see this." Moments later, A long, black G-wagon followed other black sedans in a convoy rode into the parking lot and parked close to the station’s entrance. Out stepped Andrew Walker, sharp suit, steely eyes, and a presence that silenced the entire room. Flanking him were three high-profile attorneys and two security operatives dressed like they walked off the pages of Forbes. The sergeant fumbled with his words. "Uh, how can we help you?" Andrew removed his sunglasses with calculated drama. "Jason Walker. Where is he?"

My heart hammered so hard I was sure the microphone would pick it up. “Hey everyone,” I started, voice steadier than I felt. “This is Brooks Walker. And this is Callan… my partner.” Callan’s turn. He looked straight into the camera. “I’m Callan Reyes. Captain of this team. Or at least I was. Some of you have seen the rumors. The leaks. The edited clips. We’re here to tell you the real story. No spin. No excuses.”

Everyone at the scene had absolute confidence in Mr. Walker because they were all citizens of Yando City and had heard legends of him since they were young. They knew he was a true powerhouse. Mr. Walker was hired to bring Zayn to justice. Zayn did not dodge Mr. Walker’s attack. He appeared to have not noticed it or he did not take Mr. Walker seriously at all but he continued to aim toward Tyron.

“And if our guy is right, I know that tattoo. It belongs to a group that operates out of an old warehouse near the docks.” I was already yanking open the closet, pulling on the first shirt my fingers brushed against. "How do I get there?” "It’s the warehouse near the docks." He paused, then spoke more quietly, "I’m coming with you." That froze me mid-motion. Walker didn’t do field work. He was what most would call a ghost, a voice on the other end of a line, a shadow that slipped through databases and security feeds without leaving a trace. Him offering to step into the light meant this was worse than I thought. “You sure, Walker?”

Walker had arrived with a few dozens of Royal Court Soldiers and surrounded the entire yard immediately. All of the soldiers were quite powerful. "Darryl!" Walker took a step forward, pointed at Darryl, and shouted, "The banquet has been over for quite some time. Why didn't you go back to rest, and what are you doing here?" Walker had a cold facial expression on his face, but he was incredibly proud. He chuckled to himself. 'Darryl had fallen into my trap. Let's see who can help him this time?'

My eyes locked immediately on the guy front and center. Brad Walker. Captain. Arms crossed, cocky smirk, messy dark hair, and those same piercing eyes that used to make the old me weak. “Anyway,” Kayla continued, oblivious, “we’ve got a game against Westfield tomorrow. You should come. It’s the perfect way to get thrown into the chaos.” “Maybe,” I said noncommittally. She stopped at a junction in the hallway. “My class is this way. Yours is straight down there, end of the hall. Sorry we’re not in the same one.”
