COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS

COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS

She’d saved them, but their voices were gone. “Wait,” Toby said, shining his light toward the back of the cave. “Where’s Catherine?” Maya looked around. The little hole in the back was empty. Her aunt was gone. “She left,” Maya said. “She helped me, but she couldn’t stay. She’s got her own secrets.” They started making their way out. Julian held Maya’s hand tight, fingers tangled together. Outside, the sun was rising, painting the mountains in pink and gold. A new day. Just a normal day.

The Mafia Series: Laxus Morgan (English Version)

The Mafia Series: Laxus Morgan (English Version)

CHAPTER 1: HER DESTINY AMARA’S POV “Are you really sure about this, hija?” Auntie May asked, her voice thick with worry. I nodded. I knew that if I stayed here any longer, the wounds of the past would only fester. I needed to leave before the pain swallowed me whole. Auntie May pulled out her wallet and handed me a thousand-peso bill—a small fortune for her. I reached for it, but before my fingers could touch the paper, her husband, Uncle Arman, snatched it away.

Longing For My Ex-Wife

Longing For My Ex-Wife

Maya said, raising an eyebrow. “They are,” Mrs. Denovan agreed, stirring the pot with a proud smile. Colton walked over and peeked into the pot. “I’m just saying, I’ve been here for years. Maya shows up for one day, and now it’s stew time.” Mrs. Denovan chuckled. “Maya’s special.” “We’re special too,” Mr. Denovan said, pretending to sulk. “Alright, alright,” Maya laughed. “You all are acting like kids.” Anika tugged on Maya’s sleeve. “Mommy… since you’re Grandma and Grandpa’s real daughter, does that mean you’re my aunt now?”

MAYA

MAYA

Maya answered, earning a deep frown from Jay and also the muttering under his breath which sounded like 'married? "She was dead set on a revenge and chased us here, she must've somehow known that I was Kali so she used you to reach me. Her target was me so it's rather rude to say but she just used you. To give you the refresh of my last day action of bringing Shivansh with me was that he-" "He is her nephew does that mean she's Shivaay Sinha's sister?" He gasped. "Close, she's his wife's sister." Maya corrected and Jay looked down at his hands.

FALLEN : The Alpha's Fallen Angel

FALLEN : The Alpha's Fallen Angel

"He's the Supreme Alpha King. He already rules the werewolf race, and he even has those gifts. Mobali was my late mother's favorite, and now he's taken her. Just this once, can't he let me have something for myself? Just this once, I want something that's truly mine." Aunt May listened to my words with compassion, She gently wiped away my tears with a soft cloth and then placed a hand on my shoulder, offering her support and understanding. Ever since our parents died, Aunt May was our mother figure even with her lack of eyesight she made sure we didn't miss out.

MAY

MAY

When she said nothing, ignoring the fact that she was being referred to as 'Aunty' which certainly was a good sign, May continued with a big smile spread across her lips as she swung both her hands back and forth, knowing full well that her praises were working. "My able Aunty. The youngest Aunty in this state… you're workin' that sweet sixteen look. If anyone gives you any problems, just holler at me and I'll give them trouble. I'll fight them like Jackie Chan." This made Aunty Caroline laugh. "Hmm... May. With the way you're complimenting me... I'm starting to get suspicious." May played along, teasing her. "What? Aunty... Is it a bad thing for me to praise you?"

The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful

Nice book. I love how it treats domestic issues prevalent in a lot of Nigerian homes. I also love how the book doesn't glamorize abuse like other pics I've read in this genre. Seeing as the author is a girl from Bayelsa, it gives me joy that she adds elements of her background in the story.

Tempted By My Jilted Groom

Tempted By My Jilted Groom

But judging from May's expression, I knew the girl wasn't interested in whatever her aunt was saying, but I chose to keep quiet; saying anything would only escalate the whole thing. There was silence for a few seconds before Aunt Linda said, "Had you used your sanity and come home, perhaps Wendy would not have to go through whatever ordeal she went through." "Oh, screw it, Aunt. You're beginning to nag like my parents. I know I did wrong, but who the hell refuses a free shopping spree?!" she asked, frustration evident in her tone, and I just shook my head. I knew Aunt Linda was just wasting her energy. It was going to take a lot to change May; she's a good person, but sometimes, she behaves

Out of the Ashes

Out of the Ashes

May was debating what to do, and George didn't want to leave just yet, just in case the elderly woman had any brilliant ideas. Suddenly, Aunt May stood up. George did the same and Jamie straightened herself on her feet. May, although her knees felt weak in both shock and fear, knew that she had to do something. Knowing her niece, May feared that Miranda could easily butt heads with Asher, and that wouldn't be a good thing. "I need you to take me to Alpha Asher." Aunt May requested. "What are you going to do?" George asked.

genius for knowing that his daughter was a mess or if he had done it on purpose so she wouldn't receive visitors, a heavy sigh came with a brief smile, her father was incredible at doing all that for her, she wanted to see what else he had done so she decided to go towards the other two doors there, one would be the bathroom/laundry room and the other the bedroom, at least the bathroom was a good size, a window positioned above the washing machine, at least her father had installed a curtain of thick material so that no one would see her taking a bath or doing her needs, the box was made of glass and had a high wall, which came almost to the middle of her legs, where was advertised a bathtu
