Ace's POV : The guard came back with a blow torch and a glove to make sure I didn't burn my hand. It's not me, he should be worried about. I pressed the button on the blow torch and suddenly the blue flames shot out of the nozzle and into the air as I stood in front of the young man. He's older than me, but still young. I feel a lot older than people my age due to my maturity and my constant stress, not to mention the empire I'm carrying on my back. "What age are you?" I asked him with a crease between my eyebrows. I bite down on his other shoulder, ripping fur, skin and muscle from his body, when somehow his paw changes back to a human hand and he grabs my throat, squeezing the air out of it while I claw and slash at his arm. "You could have been so much more than what you were." He says, shifting back into his human form, his hand still clamped around my throat, blocking the air from getting in. "At least take a little comfort in the fact I'm going to raise your son to be better than you are." Spots dance in front of my eyes, but I focus on Flame, standing behind Eligor, her mouth open in horror as she watches the life draining from me.

Horses crashing and tripping over one another, many riders were being crushed under the weight of their most trusted companions. "Urgh What the hell is this." Asked the captain. He was forced to crush down the urge to rip off his armor and scratch. It was as if having a bad reaction and a rash forming on his skin, a slight burning and severe itch to it. But something in his expression flickered - just for a second. Respect. Or warning. Maybe both. The torches flared. The wind howled. And for a moment, I let a flicker of my power rise. Just enough. Sparks danced across my skin - golden, crackling, alive.

Shaking his head yet again, Lucifer attempts to speak, his mouth now tasting that of blood as he moves to speak softly, “I-I can’t….” Feigning disappointment, Alex moves to frown as he continues to look at Lucifer, “Sorry, but not the answer I was looking for” grinning, Alex’s face now slowly turns to one of sin as he moves to hold out a hand, “TORCH” panicking, Lucifer tries to beg for his life.

The bond surged through me like fire flooding veins. “Mama,” I choked out, though I didn’t know if I was calling for her or the figures trapped before me. “Please. Show me how.” The old man’s voice thundered, rattling the branches above. “If you release them, girl, you release war itself. You release the end.” His words clawed at me, but then I remembered Jayden’s vow. Nothing will happen. I’ll find a way. I remembered Abriel’s smile, his little voice begging me not to get hurt again.

“She was never fit to be Luna anyway. Honestly, it’s better this way.” A male laughed. “He dodged a bullet if you ask me.” My fists clenched at my sides. As soon as they started to notice my presence, their conversations died down—but it was already too late. Rage had blinded my vision, and Mako was growling, begging to be released. When the man with the torch saw me, his eyes widened. “Put it down,” I growled, still trying to remain calm. The man lowered the torch, hesitating for a moment, but then he smirked and tossed it toward the picture. The flames caught instantly.

“I will love you, old man. I hope to make you proud and accomplish all you hoped for me… for us.” Colt looked at me to see if I wanted to say anything. Slightly shaking my head no, he nodded and rested the torch on dad’s chest. His body instantly erupted in flames.
