Scarlet snapped as Miss Peggy tried calming her down “Shh…we are no more in the States remember..she might be the owner of this site?” Peggy whispered to here, clearing her throat, as she faced Kabria with a smile “Oh…young lady…hi..i’m Peggy, ad this is my friend Scarlet. We are sorry for prying into this property but trust me, no bad intention attached. One of my friend do reside in this building few months back, but I believe she no longer lives here” Peggy stated “Yes…Mrs. Skywalker left after her daughter left… Where you the one we saw who came to pick Ariel?” Kabria asked, wearing a calm face as she suddenly recognized Miss Peggy’s face.

Lucian’s POV Vance went completely rigid. I didn't need eyes to sense his shock; the sudden hitch in his breath and the quick spike in his heartbeat told me everything. "Dorian's daughter?" Vance choked out, his voice cracking in utter disbelief. "Alpha, tell me you are joking. You cannot be serious.” “Do I sound like I am joking, Vance?” I countered, my voice matching the freezing wind blowing through the open window. "She is an unshifted Omega!" Vance argued, his heavy leather boots slamming against the floorboards as he took two aggressive steps closer to me.

Mellana questions the woman in the front door. “Mom? I thought she was your sister!” I exclaim. “Morgan?” Mom calls her. “Melissa!” Mellana’s mother answers with enthusiasm and runs towards my mother, and both women hug each other. “Oh, my Goddess! It’s been so long we’ve seen each other.” The woman named Morgan says. “It’s been way too long.” My mom agrees. “Are you the one responsible for setting this all up for us?” “Guilty.” Morgan laughs. “I moved some chopsticks to find out where you'd be staying since someone told me they were going to protect a girl named Pandora.” She says looking at her daughter with a smirk.

What were these guys doing here? The voice came instantly. “What a surprise. To think we'd meet the thief.” Vanessa said, “She's even drinking away our money.” I ignored her words, and my eyes zeroed in on Joe's arm around her waist. It hadn't been up to a day, and they were already in each other's faces. Heat flushed to my cheeks and I looked away. “Captain, you shouldn't be around someone like her. And that's why I dumped her.” Joe's voice came and I felt so small.

"New one fights. Media sees that. Fans see that." Christian hung up after last warning. I looked out window. Cameras flashed below. Frenzy raged but I felt right. The apartment quiet now except my thoughts. Captain made choice. Paid price. Ready for whatever came next.

The Gamma is like the head of our Army, he's in charge of warrior training, patrols and guards." She takes a long drink of her water and sits back.

"That guy, oh!" its snout. “Princess, she is not Capt. America. That is Thanus.” she explained with a laugh. "Baby ... I thought I was your Captain America?"
