Her lips trembled before she finally whispered, “I didn’t know how.” Chloe rushed forward, gripping her arms tightly. “Cassie, this is insane. You can’t just go like this. You can’t let them…” She glanced toward the hallway, lowering her voice. “You can’t let your mom and Ryan dictate your life like this.” Mia crossed her arms, fury burning in her chest. “Fight back.
