My eyebrows flew up by themselves. Was I imagining it, or did he really ask me about the Nocturne of Death? He, who invented that melody raising spirits from nothingness… “Reive,” I said uncertainly, “could you tell me please which nocturne you’re talking about?” The necromancer smiled broadly. His eyes were glowing with such dark mystical light that a wave of goose bumps ran down my spine. Prickly sparks flowed under my skin, and it felt like every little hair rose on my body.

He gave me a smile and without a word he leant in to kiss my lips softly. Wow. "Indeed I am and you are my Luna. " he said. This could not be right surely. This guy was adamant that I was his mate and sure I felt the connection but it was happening so quickly. I tried to get up from the bed but he held his hand out stopping me. "You can't get up yet. You have had a nasty fall." He insisted. "I remember going into the forest and something was calling to me. I .. I don't remember what happened but my shoulder. It.. it... " I felt my shoulder and frowned as the memory of that stinging sensation as it flooded my mind.

As soon as the sun rose, they would bustle around, testing her patience. She hated that she had to use her powers to ease their lives but when Alexander had asked for her help, it wasn’t in her ability to deny him. She had performed the dark spell and given them the ability to move freely under the sun while some simply burned out at the slightest exposure to the sun’s rays.

She definitely wanted to be sure she killed the Bitten soldiers with her bare hands. The two of them slept close to each other back to back to fend off any attacks. It was hard to tell how they even got down there. Raven kept muttering useless spells to leave. She couldn’t help but think if she knew how the magic was done she could undo it. “Who even has that potion in town. I know people live there but could there be a hidden caster?” It was an uncomfortable night. Luna Avery and her wolf cried because tonight was the Mate Run and she needed her mate. “Don’t worry. They will find us.”

“I'm Gina, Arnold. The true Gina Arnold, and the scarlet witch of the Mirror Moon Pack.” Cain sat up straight. His expression still showed how confused he was. “I know just how confused you are. But then, I was mad at you. I was the scarlet witch destined for you, and yet, you took my sister as your mate Instead of me. I felt sad and hated you whenever I saw you with her.” I stated, as tears ran down my cheeks. “I can't believe this. I can't believe any of what you're saying. Valeria says in a thick Romanian accent. I watch from my mind as Val has control over my body. Daemon had transformed, becoming a mere shadow of his former self. He no longer gazed at me with the same intensity, and I no longer held his desire. Luna had stolen my place in his heart. I had always consoled myself by believing they were in contact solely due to the alliance, but everything shifted on that goddamn night.
