“Put it on speaker, it might be her.” He tapped the screen, the speaker crackling to life, his phone settling on the table as we crowded close, the room falling still, the air heavy with dread. Alaric’s voice slithered through, low and taunting, a smirk woven into every syllable. “Hello, brother—I’ve got your woman.”

T‌he speaker crackl⁠es once, then her voice sp‍ills ou‍t again‌—this time clearer, soft‌er⁠, a‌lmost tender.‌ ⁠ “Damon…” I freeze. “Don’t⁠ come after me.” The words cut like a blade. Her t⁠one isn’t terrified—it’s calm‌. Co‌n⁠t‌rolled. Like she’s‍ reading from a script.

She yanked him to the floor while the other vampires in the room that had almost sucked Nanny dry rushed over to help Luca out but some men barged in wearing purple and with the same mask as Raven's. They helped in capturing the two men whilst one of them brought Raven a strange looking knife. Raven held it close to Luca's back and slashed his back from his shirt. Carly shivered on seeing this, Luca was forcing himself not to cry out from the pain. "A message from me to your father. The vault was never silent anymore. Savannah stood with her palms pressed against the reinforced glass, staring at the boy who was both child and weapon. Lucien’s lips moved though no sound came. Yet across the speakers embedded in the steel walls, the voice of Core Echo resounded—not the deep synthetic resonance they had known for years, but Lucien’s exact timbre, his inflection, his hesitant lilt. Every word that tremored through the intercom was his voice, fractured and multiplied, echoing back upon itself until Savannah’s bones vibrated.

And this time, a voice echoed through the speakers. Cold. Distorted. Inhuman. “Subject A located.”

“Look up.” He ordered. Lord Gilbert looked. And saw everyone's attention was on the chandelier. Hanging on the chandelier was Savaged. He has stripped off his clothes. And over his head was written. “Welcome to the Party!” He would have laughed if not for the fact that his daughter's life was in danger. “He’s all yours. The decision you’re gonna make. Whether you save him or tell kill. I know you’ve got a gun with you. C’mon Aziel!”

he questioned, seeking clarification. At that moment, the familiar voice of the System interjected, its words resonating solely within Keagan's consciousness. "Apologies, Spectral Guardian," the System spoke, addressing Keagan directly. "I neglected to inform you. Only you can perceive my voice. Within this realm, others remain unaware of my existence. As an outsider, you alone possess the ability to hear and interact with me." Keagan cleared his throat, seeking to rectify the misunderstanding.
