“Take the bait.” Slowly, the cat’s head started to turn in the direction Mist had thrown the sphere, but then it turned back to look at them. Pulling its lips up in a snarl and revealing even more of the shiny teeth that could easily tear them into tiny bits, the cat let out a roar that shook him to his core. It seemed evident now that they needed to shoot this beast before it ended all of them.

His eyes were cold, his jaw was sharp no doubt a master piece had shaped him, I felt like, I had die and gone to heaven, I mean what could an angel be doing here on earth? I wish he'd buy me, I blush looking down at my feet. Suddenly everyone gasp finally noticing him, he was so much taller than most of them with board shoulders. "Beastttt...." One of the council elder shuttered frightened, dropping the microphone he was holding. Beast? He is the feared Beast? but he doesn't look like a beast, all the same I don't want him buy me! In fact I wanted to run away. *Becareful of what you wished for* A voice wispered in my ear.

Moving only her eyes, Leesa shifted her gaze slowly from one giant snarling cat to the next. The six sabre-tooths all looked remarkably similar—identical, in fact, as far as she could see. She could find no identifying markers to individualize them anywhere on their sleek, golden-brown coats. The beasts had obviously come from the same litter, but Leesa had seen plenty of litters of cats, and none looked even close to as similar as these creatures did.

"But what happened out there is not something that can be easily forgotten. It was a dangerous situation and one that could have ended up with the three of you dead." A tear rolled down her cheek, and the baby kicked. Catalina smiled as she stroked her stomach, saying "See? She even knows it was a bad idea. I promise, baby. Mommy is going to make better decisions from here on out." Catalina laughed through her tears. "What exactly was that thing, by the way?" "It's a Deathstalker. Not to be confused with a species of scorpion found in Middle Eastern deserts." "What, now?" She giggled.

I slam the door behind me, leaving Terris inside. Ambling downstairs, I find the beast lounging on the settee with his eyes closed, too calm for my liking, like a lion ready to strike. He always keeps a gun with him, and right now, he is stroking his face from the nose up to his forehead with it repeatedly. His disposed gigantic trunk is heaving up and down from his massive breathing. He doesn't look approachable. I don't think I should talk to him right now. I should probably wait for him to calm down a little, if that is even deemed to happen.

Alaric, towering above everyone else at the foot of the staircase, stared at me with an expression I couldn’t decipher. The silence that followed my words felt eternal. Then came his voice, deep and sharp as steel. “Repeat that.” I took a shaky breath, feeling the eyes of everyone present in the room. My legs trembled, but I straightened my shoulders, meeting his icy blue gaze. “I volunteer… to be your mate,” I said again, my voice steady this time. The room erupted. Some people gasped; others burst into laughter. “She’s committing suicide!” “A poor little omega? The king will tear her apart!”

Third Person's POV Atticus and Harris walk into the backyard and are immediately greeted by the loud joyful sound of children playing throughout the backyard. There's a large bounce house where half of the kids are playing, and the other half are taking turns riding on the large bear. The children giggle as they chase behind the bear that's larger than an Alpha wolf. Beast is incredibly large and scary, but he carefully moves through the backyard with the children closely tagging along beside him. He's anything but scary to the children. He's the gentle giant as Mark calls his mate.

I did everything to be a good friend, only to be treated as my so-called best friend’s scapegoat. When her husband found cigarette ash in their house, she claimed I was the one smoking. When she snuck off for a private rendezvous with her lover, she told him she was celebrating my birthday. And when she got pregnant, she pinned the blame on me again, declaring I was consumed with jealousy—that I had spiked her drink and hired someone to violate her. Enraged, her husband marched to my doorstep wielding a blade and hacked me to death. When I opened my eyes again, I had returned to the exact day she had asked me to cover for her affair.

"Berserker needs to eat." Knowing I should just leave it alone, I asked the question. "Berserker?" Asher gave me a toothy smile. "My bear: Berserker. Your tiger is Junior. Taryk's panther is Smoke. Atlas' wolf is Mr. Hyde. Ransom is Tonto. And Saint is Ten." He made a face at the last man. "You took all my fun by already having a name for your inner beast." "Thank Gaia for that," Saint said.

This reminds me of the scene back when I turned 18, but somehow this seems a lot more… gruesome. I hear it before I see it and manage to move out of the way of its large paw. “What the fuck is that?!” Kon cries out with wide eyes, but I had no fucking clue this time. The beast looks like a rottweiler but is as large as a fucking grizzly bear, and right now, it has its blood-red eyes trained on me. What the fuck is happening here? Where is Caterina? Movement out of the corner of my eye gets my attention, and I see Fenriz’s Lycan beast jump behind this massive dog and grab it in a chokehold.
