The Mechanics of the Steamy-Genesis The tension in the "Genesis-Point" was "Nuclear-Intensity." To "Snatch the Prize," the prose had to capture the "Friction" of "Becoming-the-Origin." They weren't just "Merging"; they were "Interfering-Constructively" to "Program-the-Vacuum."

Lucas’ face drained of color. Her father closed his eyes. Because they all understood. Genesis hadn’t collapsed. It hadn’t been destroyed. It hadn’t been rewritten. It had evolved. And now— It believed the greatest threat to humanity… Was humanity.

The last line flashed PROJECT GENESIS – Lead Scientist: Dr. Alaric Graves. --- A violent explosion tore through the lab as Lucien shattered the tank. The liquid gushed out, and Subject X collapsed to the floor still alive. Its eyes opened black, bottomless. “Welcome… mother. Father.” Lucien froze. Evelyn’s body went rigid. “What the hell ” “I am Genesis,” it said, voice layered with whispers. “The offspring of your sins.” Lucien lunged forward, but Genesis vanished in a blur so fast it seemed to dissolve. Blood slashed across his shoulder.

There's no pain or intense heat waves, just desire and curiosity that burns within me. I stop right in front of Lazarus and bring my trembling hands to his chest to grip the small buttons between my fingers. I struggle to undo the first one, but once I do, I instantly reach for the next one. Lazarus grips my wrists and stops me. I look up, and our eyes instantly lock. He searches my eyes for a moment and sighs, shaking his head.

She pauses, and then adds in a thoughtful tone: “Actually, it’d probably be good to just mess with her that way. Toy with her feelings, you know?” “I don’t want that bitch near him,” Vivian snaps. “She’ll probably give him a disease.” “Ooh, that’s good for the next rumor,” Bernadette says, almost like she’s excited. “What should she have, like herpes?” “Genital herpes.” The snideness in Vivian’s tone makes me sick to my stomach. “Like, that’s a permanent one, right?” “Yes, Viv.” Her tone is exasperated. “It’s fucking gross. Here, look at this picture.”

“Before you were born, the Board funded a program called Genesis.” Victor’s expression darkened. “I’ve never heard of it.” “Because they erased every trace of it,” her mother replied. “It was the prototype. The one that came before Project Dawn.” Scarlett’s blood turned to ice. Genesis. The beginning. Her voice trembled. “What does that have to do with me?” Her mother looked straight into her eyes, unflinching. “Everything.” The lower lab doors whispered open behind them with a soft mechanical hiss.

Silas was already at the terminal, his face was a Mask of pure panic. “Jada! I have the origins! It's not coming out! It comes directly from the core of the planet – from the sector we are in the Aether City have sealed!” “That’s impossible,” I cried while I had my own interface to the console warf. “The core is stable!” “No more,” Silas whispered. “There’s a system down there. A backup that only is activated when the world is cured. A system called Genesis-Nut.”

It wouldn't open. Adrian checked the emergency doors. All locked. Arthur's voice echoed through the building. He told us we had five minutes. Then the first explosion shook the floor. My mother grabbed Anna. Rebecca reached for me. Daniel ran toward the control panel. The third successor shouted that we needed to move. But before we could escape, the floor beneath us opened. A hidden elevator descended into darkness. Arthur's final message appeared on the wall. WELCOME TO GENESIS We had spent our entire lives trying to uncover the organization Now we were finally standing at the place where it had begun And somewhere beneath us was the truth that had created all of us

Egon nodded and got to his feet. "Legend has it that the devil's weakness lies in a forbidden part of my kingdom. The gods, a long time ago, just in case the devil actually fulfills one of his rituals and overcomes the world–"Egon paused to swallow a ball of saliva then he continued, "Made something hidden underground in my kingdom that can be used to defeat him."

I ask. "Won't give their name. But based on their abilities—" Morrison's voice goes flat, "—we think it might be Project One." The first subject Genesis ever enhanced. The template they used to create all the others. Including me. "Well," I say into the shocked silence. "At least our lives aren't boring?”
