Chapter 127 **Evangeline's POV** The wedding hall stretched before me like a church built from nightmares. Black stone walls rose to impossible heights, carved with faces that seemed to watch and whisper. Hundreds of candles burned with flames that gave no warmth, casting dancing shadows that moved wrong. The air itself felt thick with dark magic, pressing against my skin like silk dipped in poison. I walked down the aisle between rows of creatures that had once been human. Shadow Court nobles with eyes like burning coals. Demons wearing beautiful faces that couldn't quite hide the rot beneath. Things that had crawled out of forgotten graves to witness my change into their queen.
