“Your coat left something on her. A mark.” Cassian’s eyes moved to where the shimmer still glowed faintly on my collarbone. For a second, something flashed in them, surprise, maybe, but it vanished quickly. “Ah,” he said softly. “My apologies. The fabric of my coat was made from silvercrest threads. They react to strong energy.” “React how?” Axel asked flatly. Cassian shrugged. “They mirror energy and amplify it. But they don’t harm.” “That’s convenient,” Zade said.
