Chloe, who just threw her remote controller on the wall, asked with her fist still clenched tightly. “ I swear I did as you ordered, I switched the polyester fabric with a fake one, and then I dismissed the model that was supposed to walk the runway ”. “ That girl is a bi-ch, I mean I watched her interview, that look on her face when she talked about Carter coaching her, it was so disgusting like Carter would even look at someone like her ”. At this point, I could swear that all the clothes she had were flimsy and small and there was no way it was all a coincidence. Then glaring at her she yelled, “Not just so much, it made me pay the price by making me clown in front of Shishir.”

Chloe gasped as she realized she had spoken out. Her hands refuting what he had just said with a furious wave, she said, “I meant, it is fine. It was nothing grand. I watch porn and it is way crazier…” she looked his way and saw he had his brows questioning her amusedly. “I should keep quiet now.” He gave a low chuckle, and her inside flipped at the deep rhythmic sound. “Amir is right, you are weird.” Her teeth gritted as she thought of what to say, her legs kept stretching too. “I guess I am.”

"This is my house. You're trespassing and attempting assault. That's illegal. I'm calling the police!" The first wave of people who'd rushed forward scrambled back, swearing. "Crazy bitch and her tricks. Someone get me a bat. I'll deal with her myself." Before anyone could move, my childhood friend Maverick Kirk burst out from the kitchen. "No police, and no fighting. I ask suspiciously. Kayleigh turns to me with a wide grin. “I’m showing Maxwell videos and pictures of you from school from our cheerleading days when you face-planted the floor at Lydia’s party.” I laugh hesitantly, my face on fire. Maxwell’s eyes glitter with amusement. “O-Kay, I think that’s enough,” I say, reaching forward to take her phone. “Fine, fine.” She swats me away gently. “I thought Maxwell would like to see.” “I did.” He nods in agreement.

He was still trying to figure out whether Joey truly loved Zachary. Looking at the stern-faced Zachary, Henry said, "There's this major scandal going on with Chloe. They're saying her designs aren't hers. "And get this, she supposedly can't even sew. The kicker is, there's videos and audio evidence – it's all over the place!" Like a dry branch breaking. Chloe's eyes flew open. This time, it wasn't acting. It was real. Her mouth opened. She seemed to want to scream something. The wind was too loud. I couldn't hear anything. She fell. Her white camisole dress flipped upward, exposing her stomach. Her hair streamed above her like dark waterweeds. Her arms clawed through the air and caught nothing. Then she grew smaller. Smaller. Finally, she became a white dot. Then she vanished into the mist.

The person who walked in, no, calling her a person almost didn’t feel right. She looked like a skeleton. Chloe was wearing a red bridesmaid dress, but she was so frail she had to brace herself against the wall just to inch forward step by step. Her cheeks had caved in so deeply they looked hollow. Her skin was ashen, almost gray. And because her face had sunk in so badly, her eyes looked even more bulging, as if they might pop right out at any second.
