Reverence etched into his features. "The mantle will pass to your children, then. Your son may well be the future king of the Lycans." He paused, eyes flickering up. "Which leaves your daughter..." "If Sophia wishes to be Luna of the Lily of the Valley, then so be it," I said with a casual shrug. "But that path is hers to choose."

The guards barely glanced at me. I slipped inside, finding the Lycan King at his desk. He looked up, his golden eyes piercing through me. "Your Majesty." I dropped into a deep bow, my whole body shaking. "I... I need to tell you something about your son." He set down his quill, studying me with an unreadable expression. "Speak." "King Alex is our only choice," Freya whispered, squeezing my hand. "He needs to know what his son did to you."

He’s such a nice asshole no wonder Mom and Dad didn’t choose him to be the Lycan king. I was crowned the Lycan king and Jacob the Alpha because I am tough, brave, and more confident than Jacob will ever be and it makes much more sense for me to be the Lycan king because I’m two minutes older than Jacob and I have those amazing qualities that Jacob doesn’t. If he was slightly as tough as me, his stupid pack could have been able to handle battles like I handle the whole town with just a single glare.
