Molly This was going to be the best Christmas ever. Molly grinned as she pulled out her master key for the shop, slid it into the lock, and opened the door. The scents of pine and cinnamon filled her nose as the Christmas spirit washed over her. It was time to open up the shop for the day. Every day since Thanksgiving seemed to get better when she was in the store. Christmas Wishes was the best Christmas store in town and possibly in the entire United States. Molly would even guess it ranked in the top five best Christmas stores in the world. The only one that could possibly beat them might be a Christmas store in Alaska that was actually near the North Pole.

She had said that it was Xavier that gave her the bear. I gasp realizing what she's told me. I had never really thought much about the bear since that night. I had just assumed it was gone. I never knew what had happened to our house. I knew it was sold shortly after the fire. I just figured that all of our stuff was sold along with it. I pull the bear close to me. Hugging it. When I feel cool metal against my skin. I pull the bear back to see what it was. My hand goes over my mouth when I see it.

Snow Brook Valley Snowbrook Valley was alive in the way only small towns knew how to be during Christmas. Not loud, not overwhelming just familiar. Everyone saying Merry Christmas, children running around, throwing snowballs at each other and making snowmen. Every coffee shop in town was overcrowded, and the fish market was packed. The town had a special meal they made with fresh fish and spicy soup. Brandon was exhausted and needed to rest and today was the town's Christmas nativity night. He would be attending because he just wanted to stay far away from Claudia. Their fights were becoming too much and it was exhausting.

Christian added. “Me neither.” I looked at Siena and smiled as she tried to release herself from Christian’s grip. “It looks like you’re not her favorite anymore.” I joked while Christian gave her what she wanted and placed her on the floor. He pulled out a bear. “Do you recognize this?” He asked. I looked at the pink teddy bear and gave him a nod. “Of course I do. You got it the day she was born.” “I did.” Christian chuckled. He placed Siena on knees while he put a distance between her and the bear. “Look what she can do.”

The bear was exactly as I remembered it—a gift from Mrs. Chen, our neighbor, something Elena had placed in the kitchen to practice for when the baby arrived. It shouldn't be here. It couldn't be here. Unless someone had taken it from our house. Someone who had been inside our home while we lived there. Someone who knew exactly what would terrify us most. I picked up the bear. Underneath was a note, just two words in careful handwriting:

Instead, he padded towards me with his typical slow and deliberate movements. As it drew closer, I saw that the bear was holding something in its maw. It dropped the object at my feet and I saw that it was a small, leather-bound book. The bear looked upwards at me, its eyes seeming to bore into my soul. And then, in a motion so almost human, it nodded its head. I stared at it in amazement, really not sure what my next move was. But then I looked down at the book, and with an eruption of clarity inside of me, this feeling suddenly made much sense.

I hadn't even finished a whole row yet. Some stuff is repeated but this book is by far my favorite. It's solely about bear shifters. Bear shifters are the most loyal type of shifter. They would lay down their lives for the ones they are to protect without a single thought. Thats terrifying. I don't want Dom to die because I might. Even though he would probably fight me on it.

He’s probably not used to having cute stuff around him. “I can’t think of any special occasion, but,” I accepted the bear, “thank you, anyway. Didn’t know you have stuff like this hidden in your room.” I took a good look at the toy and I saw a little black button in the middle of its heart. “What does this button do?” “Oh, yeah, that one. Try pressing it,” he now sounds excited. I carefully pressed it and “Take care, my Princess! Take care, my Princess!” The bear started talking and I was a little shocked. I looked up to Lurcos and he was smiling from ear to ear. He looks so proud of his gift.

Third Person's POV Atticus and Harris walk into the backyard and are immediately greeted by the loud joyful sound of children playing throughout the backyard. There's a large bounce house where half of the kids are playing, and the other half are taking turns riding on the large bear. The children giggle as they chase behind the bear that's larger than an Alpha wolf. Beast is incredibly large and scary, but he carefully moves through the backyard with the children closely tagging along beside him. He's anything but scary to the children. He's the gentle giant as Mark calls his mate.
