He traced the line of my jaw with his thumb, his touch firm. “And are you?” “I’m traveling the world,” I whispered. “That wasn’t the question.” He gripped the back of my neck, forcing me to look at him. He didn’t want my gratitude. He wanted the truth. He wanted the soul he had bought. I leaned in, my lips brushing against his. “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, Julian.
