The downtown area was similar to a lot of the towns Dak had visited recently, looking for the perfect place to start his new endeavor, but there was something slightly different about Christmas Falls, something special he couldn’t quite put his finger on. The Christmas decorations hanging from the lamp posts and strung around the trees were the same white lights, red bows, garland, and cartoony characters as everywhere else, seasonal flowers blooming from the flower beds while banners announced where he was and that he was welcome there, but an excitement seemed to hang in the air that he could only describe as a certain kind of Christmas magic he couldn’t ever remember encountering before.

Zelda One year later We were just putting the final touches to baby Zander’s room. We had decided to move to another area of the castle as it gave us more space which we needed with two children. Zelena was just coming up to 3 years old and doted on her baby brother constantly. Zac as also over the moon we had a boy, Zelena was a daddy’s girl for sure and they had a special bond, but I think Zac was relieved he wasn’t so outnumbered now.

All she wanted was to spend the entire day with the baby girl. When night arrived, Zelda emerged from the kitchen holding a turkey. She invited everyone to gather for the Christmas feast. Fireworks burst in the night sky and were visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the villa. The family gathered around the dinner table and raised their glasses for a cheerful toast. At the same time, fireworks lit up the living room's television, accompanied by a stream of heartwarming wishes. From a distance, Rebecca could make out the words in the center of the screen—a celebration of family coming together.

The snow keeps falling, heavy and suffocating. When I finally gather enough courage to walk home, my nerves are shredded. My thoughts got tangled. From the opposite side of the room, about as far away from Tuck as she could get, Zelda was draped into my dad's old recliner. "There's nothing like Christmas in Pennsylvania Dutch Country."

Zelda admitted. It was given to her by her Master upon the day of her departure for the Selection. Confused, she thought that maybe some of her screws got totally loose and forgot she specializes in Beast and Spirit Manipulation. But despite it being utterly useless to her, she did not say anything and went on. "I-I will do my best! Hmm, what should I—" "Is your uncle Felix still on the Dragon Sanctuary?" "Yep. What about him?" "Give me a dragon egg if you lose."

He just nodded. “Zelda is aware too, Luna. She is testing you. Madame Zelda is known for her tricks. She will tell you what you want to know only if you defeat her tricks. And the Red Forest is maintained by Madame Zelda Amanita.” Baspo said. I let it absorb. That witch was quite a thing. We left the bushes and stood over the edge. The ground ended here. It was sloppy terrain from here onwards. The sky was red. The ground was red. But everything else had colors. All of them.

"Well, he can kiss my furry butt. I am not doing anything until at least tomorrow..." She then disappears again. I open my eyes and smile as I look into Zachariah's eyes. Zelda’s POV One week later, I stepped out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around my chest. There was still no sign of my son, and James had made it clear that he wouldn't allow me to see him. Letting out a sigh, my eyes fell upon a vivid red gift box placed on the bed. Inside, there was a dress, a gift from James for the upcoming wedding in the garden later that morning. Sitting down on the soft bed, I gently placed my hand on the gift box and slowly opened it. Nestled inside was a sparkling purple dress. Curiosity still troubled me regarding the identity of the couple getting married, but the pack members remained tight-lipped.

Aria slammed her palm against the wall beside it, fingers finding something recessed and hidden. The door slid open. I didn’t question it. We slipped inside and it sealed behind us with a heavy mechanical thud that reverberated through my bones. The space beyond was darker, colder. Not part of the building’s main systems. No cameras. No sensors I recognized. My pulse finally spiked. “What is this place,” I demanded. Aria leaned against the wall, chest heaving now, delayed fear finally catching up to her. “A dead zone.” I stared at her. “That’s not an answer.”
