Today was fully a week since the assassination attempt by Phillip Pedrosa on his boyfriend, Theodore Pedrosa. Erick pulled the chair near Theo's bed, opens the shabby page of Theo's favourite novel entitled Being Henry David by Cal Armistead. Everyone who saw that shabby book would know how often that man had read it. For a moment, he looked away from the book, staring at Theo, who still had not regained consciousness.

"This is the book we have found at the investigation site near a victim." The premium edition of Leonel's book lay before everyone, its pages holding secrets that could tip the scales in our favor—or lead to our downfall. Marcus leaned forward, his brow furrowed. “This could lead us somewhere." I nodded solemnly. "Absolutely. Not only have we secured the book, but we have also confirmed a troubling detail. The victims have all attended the same high school." I paused, letting the revelation sink in. “This might hint that the killer has a grudge from back then,” Marcus said.

The professor moved to the front of the classroom once more. “First on our reading list for this class will be a book by one of my favorite authors- Lupita Addams," he announced. "It's called Dawn." The girl who had introduced herself first smiled, blushed, and looked as if she might faint from happiness. She whispered something to the girl seating next to her who giggled. “Isn’t she pathetic?” Ruby muttered as she flipped open her notebook. "Looks like she's about to ask for his autograph." Professor Cassian began teaching.The classroom had never been so quiet.

The assassin pulled a jagged bone-knife from his belt and drove it into Harrison’s side. I saw the flash of red on Harrison’s shirt. The scent of woodsmoke and heated copper filled the room. "Harrison!" "Get the scroll out!" Harrison yelled. He slammed the assassin against a bookshelf, the wood splintering. Books tumbled down like a landslide of history. "Go!"

A scalpel, a syringe, forceps, scissors, some long needles, a knife, a bowl containing oil, and several transparent little bottles—vials, were all arranged on the table. Some containers were filled with a white, colourless liquid, and the rest held some kind of dark fluid in them. There was a big bag pack sitting in the corner of the table. Kevin watched him move over to the table. He took out a book from the bag. Recognition crossed Kevin’s features at the sight of the book. “Seven Most Painful Ways to Die,” the title read in bold red ink. The book he’d seen in Cedric’s room. T-Murek flipped pages to its centre and placed it on the table before him.

Angela's POV We are already here inside our classroom. Lucifer is reading as usual while I'm just staring at him. He really looks so serious whenever he reads. I wonder what book is he reading. Well, I already know that it was a book with terrifying themes again. Back when we were just librarians, I often see him reading books with lots of killings including in it. “Lucifer.” I called him. “Hmm?” He said without looking at me. “Lucifer.” I called him again.

She didn't understand why they were after Bobby, but she didn't plan on leaving him because of their empty threats. Angel finally made her way to her classroom. She slid the door open to see a completely spotless classroom. Angel looked at the chalkboard and the erasers and saw that they had been cleaned. Angel looked to the seats and realized someone was sitting there. It was that damn strawberry. He was listing to an iPod and reading a book. She was surprised to see him, reading. Angel made her way to him. She noticed the book was The Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare. Zhul realized he was no longer alone in the class and looked up to see the midget.

I told myself I would leave him alone. For now. Because I had other things to focus on. Like my final exams. It felt ridiculous—me, Silvia, an assassin, sitting in a classroom like an ordinary student. Balancing equations, analyzing literature, calculating statistics—all while knowing that outside these walls, I was someone else entirely. Someone deadly. But I never let my two worlds collide. Even when I was covered in blood and my hands were sore from gripping the hilt of a knife too tightly, I still made sure to study.
