I said. Just as I finished taking a big drink of my water, Delta Tyler Simmons brought in former Beta Jacob. The former Beta lurched back, gasping for breath, his eyes blown, “NO! Why are you watching that?! Where did you get that video?! I made it disappear. You can’t see this! Nobody can see it! Turn it off!” The former Beta was shaking violently, his eyes watering, snot starting to drip from his nose, he was hyperventilating and close to passing out.

Dean gives him a look like he’s missing the obvious, “Because you can afford Ethereal, Beta.” Chase nods his head in understanding. “Who else?” I continue my quest. “Well, Trevor is also in the top 5, Alpha Liam and my biggest surprise, Jason.” “Jason, her friend Jason?” Chase asks. I’m as surprised as he is. “Yep. Apparently some people think he’s showing her in the only way she’ll notice. At least that’s what I’m hearing when the bets are placed.” I reach in my pocket and pull out some money. “Fifty bucks says it’s Chase.” I give my Beta a wicked grin. He goes very still before slowly turning to me and raising his eyebrows at me.

Pouring enough of the alcohol, I gulped down half of it before resorting to light sips. It's hard being a Beta around here; there is so much to do and many annoying faces to see. I hope Kara enjoys her new space. I can bet she would hate her life more now there is no living presence around her; for someone like her who loves being the center of attention, it would be tough to cope.

Mum treated my ankle and asked about the atrocities Jeremy had committed during this time. I ignored her and kept quiet. I wanted to save it until I was ready to tell her. I hugged my mum and cried.
