Silent Howls
My wolf was on high alert, but the city felt normal, the scent of street food and perfume lingering in the air.
When the massive Cloud’s Café came into view, I slowed. I had imagined something small and cozy. A shop with a few wooden tables and a counter.
However, what stood before me was nothing like that.
The café had tall glass windows stretching across the entire front wall, glowing warmly from within. Inside, I could already see people seated, chatting, and working on laptops.
As we stepped inside, I took it all in—the high ceiling, the soft instrumental music floating through the air, and the scent of roasted beans and sugar. The interior was calm and elegant.
