She rose and opened a cabinet, pulling out a large tin filled with cookies. "These are my famous chocolate chip cookies," she said, offering the container to us. "Nothing solves life's problems like homemade cookies." As Clay eagerly grabbed a cookie, I couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, if this is part of the Luna training program, count me in." He winked at me as he took a satisfying bite, the chocolate melting and mixing with the emotions that colored the moment. "Trust me, the perks are one of the best parts."

I said, smiling as I adjusted her in my arms. "Aunt Avery, guess what?" she said, her voice full of childish excitement. "What is it, my little troublemaker?" She puffed out her chest proudly. "I helped Mommy bake cookies! And I didn’t even eat the dough this time!" I raised an eyebrow, feigning skepticism. "Are you sure about that? Not even a little lick?" Chloe giggled, covering her mouth with her tiny hands. "Maybe just a little!" I chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Well, I hope you saved some cookies for me."

I said while I walked out the bakery. They stared back in confusion and Hunter was laughing. The moment we reached home, I opened the box of cookies and began devouring them. Clover said, frowning. I waved her off. "What's the problem?" I asked as we went up and sat in her bedroom. "The problem is this unknown person is now sending me cakes and managed to get in my house … again." Clover grabbed a pair of Adidas shorts and a PINK shirt. She quickly changed and laid out on her bed next to me. "You got a cake?" I asked, surprised. I felt my heart pounding in my ears, the note burning a hole in my purse. I wasn’t hiding it; I just needed to find the right time to bring it up. I would never do something like that to her.

This way they came out more nutritious as well as tasty,” Cyra keenly heard her every word which doubled her excitement….but that excitement started vanishing as the time proceeded further and she watched her making those same exact looking cookies which she had seen and tasted before. CLAIRE'S POV: Jennifer’s cookies were ridiculously good—crispy on the edges, soft in the center, and just the right amount of chocolate. We sat cross-legged on the kitchen stools, laughing over a meme she’d shown me while munching through our third batch. "You know," she said, licking a crumb off her thumb, "if I ever open a bakery, I’m naming it ‘Jennifer’s Justified Cravings.’" I chuckled. "You’d have to give me lifetime access. These cookies are basically therapy."
