The temperature of the room suddenly went cold, making Kavin, Ron shiver. They could feel the dangerous aura emanating from Vance's body. "Vance, are you alright? "Kevin asked carefully, watching his best friend's mood. He was worried and, at the same time, cautious for Vance. "No! I am pissed off, and I feel like killing whoever did this right now. Someone bloody tried to kill me. It was not an accident!" he growled. "What? "Everybody in the room gasped. "Yeah, somebody planned my accident and even used silver dragger to kill me ." Vance gritted his teeth as a murderous look was contained in his eyes while explaining to his friends about the accident.

My body is numb with worry about what's to come as I hear foorsteps in the hallway and I take a deep breath. Can't show him fear. The door violently swings open and I jump a little before standing as still as I can. My heart is beating a thousand miles an hour as I hear the door slam again. "Do you know bad you just fucked me over?" He says in a deadly low voice. The hair on the back of my neck stand up and I feel tingles all over my body. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU DID!?" "I'm sorry." I whisper and he slams his hand down on the table. "Shut up. You already ruined everything." He says and I hold my breath, too afraid to say anything else.

“Seeing how much disruption they can cause without drawing a response.” Damon stood by the window, jaw tight. “They’re escalating.” Aria nodded. “They’re normalizing chaos.” The first real damage landed before noon. A community partner—one of the foundation’s earliest allies—was raided on suspicion of financial misconduct. Assets frozen. Staff detained. No charges filed. Just paralysis. “They were clean,” Damon said, fury threading his words. “We vetted them ourselves.” “That’s why they were targeted,” Aria replied. “Collateral damage is meant to teach fear.”

Elena’s pulse exploded. “What is it?!” The man met her gaze. “A timed release.” Her blood ran cold. “No.” “Yes.” The screen shifted again— Multiple servers. Multiple locations. Uploading. Distributing. Her chest tightened painfully. “You’re going to leak all of it?” she asked. “Not all,” he said. “Just enough.” “Enough to what?” “Burn everything down.” Her heart slammed violently. “That will destroy innocent people too!” “Collateral,” he said simply.

I scream, my voice cracking a bit. The word of endearment just rolling off my tongue with ease. Unplanned. Untimed. Yet all that follows is the bang coming from the front door.

The muted cries strum endlessly at their hearts. "Wah wahhh wahhhhh!" the weaker disciples were now openly crying their hearts out. "Jomal! Enough!" Fade couldn't take it anymore and so she rose abruptly to free the soul of her beloved. The distance was only several feet yet somehow time felt decayed around her. "BANG!" the land quaked when a rolling figure tilled the earth using its body. Collateral damage was everywhere because of the vicious impact it created. The hapless individuals who were lucky enough to be alive from the initial explosion were obliterated by the unrestricted power unleashed. They were turned to minced meat in the span of a few breaths.

That was the day Collen's life began spiraling out of his control. Not only did he lose a good friend. But when he arrived at Walter Reed he learned just how bad the damage was. The shrapnel to his abdomen was the more minor issue. His leg had been hit by quite a bit of shrapnel and had a few fractures. In one sense he was extraordinarily lucky to have kept his leg, in another the outcome was just as horrible as losing his leg.

Sure enough, a sleek, limited-edition luxury car pulled in right behind us. Carmen shook with glee at the sight. "That's my ticket!" She hit the brakes hard. In a flash, the luxury car smashed into my car. This time, everyone lost it, pointing at Carmen through their tears, asking, "Why does tonight have to be such a disaster?" "Seriously! If you can't drive, stop showing off with other people's wheels, will you?" "Let us out! I'm done with this deathtrap!" "Carmen, you did that on purpose, didn't you?!"

I honestly don't know what I keep expecting from him but if this is what marriage is well I have to take what I'm offered besides I was just collateral damage. ‎

He snapped. He was annoyed with himself for not having a strong bond with his wife. "Unfortunately." Orlando trailed off. "Do you have a death wish?" Anger resurfaced on his face again. They stood toe to toe, staring darkly at each other. "Okay." Alberto pushed them away, "No violence. Particularly in front of our women." He withdrew his hands immediately. His glare cut through them before he walked toward Adam's room. His eyebrows shot up. "You should be in your room." Adam lowered the gun. His coat was lying on the arm of the couch, displaying his holster holding guns and knives.
