Damaged Pearls Novels & Stories

“I don’t understand” Hector squats in front of Loyalty and takes the ring from her hand. “Amory, it means because a love like ours is just as rare. Titanium is a virtually indestructible metal once it’s set, while blue diamonds are the rarest diamonds to find, and so are pink sapphires”, he explains to her. “Oh”, she says quietly as she takes the ring back from him and begins crying in Nina’s arms again.

That was, she would become world-famous and die at a young age like Princess Danielle. In that case, the legendary story of two women would be passed down through a necklace. The price might double. "Damon, are you out of your mind? Do you know you're ruining a rare treasure? What were you thinking when you engraved my name on a jewelry set worth over 200 million? It's now unsellable! Do you know that? You're wasting a valuable asset and affecting secondary sales…" She called Damon late at night, venting her anger at him. She didn't feel moved but pain. As a jewelry professional, she didn't want to see such a good thing being ruined.

Upon seeing that there was no reaction, everyone burst into laughter again. "Ho-ho! I'm dying from laughing. Is this guy here as a joke? That's 30 million dollars down the drain. I've never seen anyone try to impress a girl like him! I can't anymore… Somebody help me. I can't stand on my legs from all this laughing." However, Woody simply ignored the sneers and channeled another stream of power again. Then, the surface of the pearl cracked, and a small part of the stone broke into a series of web-like cracks that quickly spread across its entire surface.

This may sound simple, the pearl was right there after all. It’s a pity that life is never that kind. The pearls were tiny, approximately 5mm in diameter. Any bright person would know the difficulty of smashing something so small. Plus, Celestials could retract these pearls as a last resort. However, the pearls could only be retracted for a full 5 seconds, and after that, this technique remained unavailable to them until a period of twelve hours had elapsed. One could only keep their pearls fully retracted, after a breakthrough into the Heavenly Realm.

But a closer look showed its uniqueness. This set of jewelry was very valuable at first sight. I quickly waved my hand and dared not touch it. Pearl smiled and said to me, "Jewelry is made for people to wear. I lend it to you. It doesn't matter if it is damaged. If it is damaged, I could let someone repair it." I could not refuse her, so I had to wear this set of jewelry as she said. After I put it on, I was so nervous that I was afraid I might accidentally damage it.

He pointed at Damian and made him admit it. “I found her helpless and dying. Now she is healing like nothing happened!” Taggart let out his anger. Pearl was in shock and couldn't move from where she was. Damian restrained himself from hitting first. Now, he had to make good use of the situation. "And you? What are you doing with my girl?” Taggart snapped louder. “Pearl is my best friend. I'm worried about her. She has experienced bad, traumatic things. And you accused her of a conspiracy? You're a shit!" Damian spat no less fiercely.

Inside the box rested a delicate veil comb crafted from gold and pearls. Arabella’s breath caught instantly. “Oh my God…” The pearls shimmered softly beneath the light, elegant and timeless. “They were your mother’s,” Adrian said softly. “The original necklace was damaged years ago, but I had a designer in Paris restore the pearls and remake them into something new.” Arabella stared at the piece with trembling fingers. “She wore them at charity galas,” she whispered faintly. “I remember playing with them when I was little.” Adrian nodded. “Now I want you to wear them when you walk toward me.”

I neglected them and went under the bright light right best to the pearls as they reflect in it. "We were able to find it. The greater pearl was made into two but when we heard she had blood running through her veins that made her not to cringe." my glare made him rub his hand through his head. "She did cringe." I interceded, "Ariadne wouldn't have hurt me left to her." "But she hurt you still. That is enough to prove our assumptions." The other scientist wore his sleeve as he studied through the microscope. I couldn't stare at it for long.

He felt pity, regrets and sorrows and above all, he felt apologetic towards his good friend. The old madam was just as shocked as the crowd. Her anger calmed a little and she felt the urge to listen to Tess. "The queen of pearls I had seen and read in books didn't look as ugly as this. It is said that the rhinestone of the pendant surrounded by the string of pearls collects and deflect light. You've owned the necklace for a long time I presume, you didn't know this? The pendant of this necklace is dull and the rhinestones aren't made from Ruby, they're mere common durable crystals. " Tess let out a string of intelligent words as she sized up the jewelry in the old Madam's hands.
