I was honestly expecting to find a science or medicine book, but what I found was a cute fairy tale book. I just smiled when I saw different classic stories in this book, like Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella, but the doctor called me so I had to put him on the couch. “Miss Jefferson, present me your dish.” He tells me very seriously, while he thinks he is a chef.

I’ve also rediscovered cheesy rom-coms and psychological thrillers, all the goodies that Kenneth never agreed to watch with me because they were “too stupid” (the romcoms) and “too complicated” (the psych thrillers).

"I don't mind. I actually like talking about my books, even though I feel nervous that I am just penning down words that makes no sense." "I doubt that. Highly." She laughed, smooth and relaxed. "And how do you know? You have not read my books before." "Not yet, but I hope to." She laughed again, and I thought it was slowly becoming one of my favourite things to listen to. "I am not sure you will be interested in the kind of things I write." "I think I will. Try me." "I doubt. I write romance stories." "Is it cheesy?" I teased. "Extra cheesy."

“This is ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by Jane Austen. It’s a love story that many women adore.” Jack took the book and examined the cover. “It looks interesting. What else would you recommend?” The sales assistant continued selecting books, giving a brief description for each one. “Oh, and we also have some romantic adventure books, like ‘Treasure Island’ by Robert Louis Stevenson, which focuses more on adventure and pirates.” Jack listened carefully and selected several books with the assistant’s guidance. “I think she’ll like these,” he said, smiling. The sales assistant smiled back, growing a bit curious about the lucky woman who had managed to tie down a confirmed bachelor like Jack Colt.
